nice video, super nice car !!! my 2019 Torch Red GS Coupe is one of only a handful with two-tone adrenaline red interior... talk about rare !!! and I love it...
I have a 2018 Grand Sport convertible 3lt they only made 512 of them in the 2018 model year due to a 7-month only built production run out of that 512 only 198 were 3lts which it has along with it has the j56 carbon ceramic brake package which only 43 were built with that brake package in the convertible the serial number shows that it was built within the first four days of the beginning of production of the 18s in the old production facility in Bowling Green its Long Beach Red tintcoat Metallic which they only built 47 of them in the Grand Sport convertible for18 it has the spice interior which you could only get with the 3lt package and which this has and only 21 built with that color but spread over three additional colors for that total of 21 they only built 20 of them with the spice roof which again that was over three additional colors for that 20 It has very very unique numbers it's a beautiful car and I've owned it for 4 years and it's been a great car and a whole lot of fun to drive I've had 14 Corvettes over my lifetime and this qualifies as the number one best I will probably never buy a new one because the new ones to me are not a Corvette anymore because they're not front engine
I have a 17 Grand Sport Collector Edition and its ok. The leaf spring suspension isn't great, it shudders and shakes over bumps. I don't find the NA pushrod very strong, its not a car you ever want to roll race, nor is it a very drivable motor: lots of drama, not a lot of pull. The GM auto transmission is the WORST I've ever experienced since the 1960s. The brakes are great. The interior is still 1980s GM, the plastics feel toyish and the Chevy Spark analog gauges are TERRIBLE. The seats are poorly constructed with cheap, thin leather and really bad stitching (LT3), even in the CE model. The steering wheel is pure, low end GM, more importantly, there is about 2" of sponge in the column. The screen is low res and useless, I never use it while driving. Then there's fiberglass. I don't think a lot of Corvette owners realize the quality they are missing. It is truly on par with a Mustang or Challenger, at 1/2 to 2/3rds the price. It should have sold new in the mid-30Ks (Stingray) to mid-40Ks (GS). Thats the right C8 price, too. Challengers start today in the $28Ks, and are better in some ways, worse in others. Yes, the C7 Vette can turn, that's why I added a 60% price premium. And a $35K Challenger or $45K Camaro will easily out-handle any C8, and the C8 is more underpowered. The thought the Vettes are good values went south with the C7. With the C8, Vettes are, by far, the worst perfomance:price ratio of anything on the market. Dead last, and its not close.
The C7 far outperforms many cars in it's price range, as does the C8. Look at any track times, and you'll see that the C7 Grand Sport competes directly with the 911, for 20-30K less. It will even beat supercars from the 2010-2014 era, just look at it's times compared to a 458, the R8 V10, and a 991 GT3. Just look at what Randy Pobst did with the C7 Stingray / GS on VIR - www.caranddriver.com/features/a23319884/lightning-lap-times-historical-data/ Furthermore, to say that a 35K challenger, which is literally the heaviest boaty American car you can buy, can "out-handle any C8" is probably the dumbest thing I've read on the internet in the past year. With prices currently the Stingray - GS's are back up to 50-70K - you'd be surprised how in demand they are in now.
@@Loko_The_Savage The C7 is an excellent track car for $50K. The C8 has 500 more pounds under the trunk, reducing the C7's perfect 50/50 balance to the worst 63/37 distribution of any production car, in history. The C8 uses cost saving, reduced size Chevy Trailblazer-crossover brakes, smaller rotors than a Honda Civic and it can't stop. It needs a different alignment to turn with 25% less lateral G than a C7 (otherwise its 40% less), eating tires every few laps. And it adds 60% to C7 price. Worse the reduced HP and Torque to weight ratios compared to the faster C7 consistently post 4+ and 12+ second Dragy times, giving it the lame performance of a $35K Camaro/Hellcat/Charger/Challenger. At best. The $65K LT1 beats the C8 in the quartemile by a football field. The F8 beats the C8 by two football fields. . The C8 is the worst low-end GT deal on the market today, with 2.5x the price/performance. Thats why the C8 is the worst selling GM car in history. Even the defective Corvair sold 4M copies in 9 years. The C8 had sold 20,000 in its first 2 years. Thats less than 100,000 compared to 4M (awful) Corvairs on the same 9Y pace. DISASTER doesn't begin to describe this flop of a "Corvette."
Make no mistake, the McLaren Senna demolished the C7 on Virginia International Raceway. Acceleration-speaking, the GR Supra has the same 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. The Supra's advantage is that its engine, the B58 has been super-reliable and does not burn oil as do most GM V8s. Even the Supra's electronics have been very reliable. They are both great-looking, but remember that C7s are far more common on the street, another downside.
While I love the car I am wondering why you felt compelled to park in a Handicap parking space. It doesn't matter that there was no one else in the lot. It is bad practice and shows total disregard and disrespect for the ADA and laws put in place to protect it. And yes, I am handicapped. My leg was ripped off by a '67 GTO that was passing someone in a turn on a 2 lane road and I was on my motorcycle travelling the other way. I lost that battle. I was only 16. Now 65 and have been dealing with the abuse of handicap parking violations all my life. Thanks for not giving a shit.
You are the reason why the world is so sensitive, nobody is attacking you for being handicapped by parking in a random space in an empty lot that just so happens to be a handicapped spot. I personally know these guys in real life and they would never park in a spot if the business was open. Stop being so sensitive and put your time toward more meaningful goals other than being offended from nonsense like this. Praying for you 🙏
@@codycurtis5487 says the person who has obviously never experienced life on crutches. Never said they were attacking me, they are just highlighting the ignorance that so, so many have toward physically disabled people. Sends a wrong message and sets a bad example. Pray for someone else.
There isn’t an epidemic of handicap violations going on, fake news. There’s a small amount that occur but I don’t think most people with a disability would watch this video and think it’s an attack on them. You’re just bored and trying to connect dots that aren’t there. I would agree if it was an open business with nearby cars, but not in this case. Also sorry to hear your story. Praying for you 🙏

Great video, I have a 2019 C7 Grandsport & I love it…fantastic overall performance for the buck
Very true
Love mine too, amazing machine
Hey how much do I need to make to comfortably afford it?
Angle parked in that handicapped spot. Move it now flip flop boy or we start handing out tickets.
We have been waiting for you.
Just Subscribed, I recently purchased a 2019 GrandSport with only 4300 miles on it , I love it 😊
PS Thanks for the video 👍
Of course! We should crank out some more videos on it this summer!
Congratulations.
@@shaunmcinnis566 thanks much 👍
I like your video I got the same car 2017 Grand Sport and I love it is the red with the white stripe and I really enjoyed driving it
Glad you enjoyed it! Sweet car!

Thanks for checking in. Red is great on them!
I have a 2018 Grand Sport convertible 3lt they only made 512 of them in the 2018 model year due to a 7-month only built production run
out of that 512 only 198 were 3lts which it has along with it has the j56 carbon ceramic brake package which only 43 were built with that brake package in the convertible
the serial number shows that it was built within the first four days of the beginning of production of the 18s in the old production facility in Bowling Green its Long Beach Red tintcoat Metallic which they only built 47 of them in the Grand Sport convertible for18
it has the spice interior which you could only get with the 3lt package and which this has and only 21 built with that color but spread over three additional colors for that total of 21
they only built 20 of them with the spice roof which again that was over three additional colors for that 20
It has very very unique numbers it's a beautiful car and I've owned it for 4 years and it's been a great car and a whole lot of fun to drive I've had 14 Corvettes over my lifetime and this qualifies as the number one best
I will probably never buy a new one because the new ones to me are not a Corvette anymore because they're not front engine
That is a gorgeous blue
Yeah it is!
Actually parking in the handicap spot (yes staged at a place where no one is there) IS a corvette owner thing too.
That was indeed the intent
I have a Sebring orange grand sport and they only made 2980 c7 of that color and only 735 where grand sports.
That's cool!
im confussed,,i have an 18 gr. sport..but my black wheels have a red stripe on the outside perimeter...
Did not complete the correct sentence in vid. Grand sport has specific wheels. This GS has z06 wheels on it.
Have not looked into enough to answer to be certain. Will try to remember and get back with ya..... Have had no issues with them.
Those rims look like the Z06 rims, someone must have changed them out?
They are grandsport wheels
Lol yeah those are the Zo6 wheels
For real?
@@PerformanceOnWheels yes, grand sport wheels are 10 spoke wheels
Defiantly not Grant Sport wheels.... do some research...
Those are Zo6 wheels.. btw you need to tuck in your shirt and wear som NB shoes…
Was thinking about getting NBs for the video. Man there not a cheap prop
Had a 2017,3lt,beautiful car,the drag tho,i also didnt enjoy the gearing, forced you to shift so much.
Smoking hot car..literally.

Do you have a handycapped permit.
Nope! We sure don’t! Don’t need one for a closed business in the middle of no where for a funny video.
