SZA has become one of the year's key new artists, an R&B innovator who brings a personalized spin and radical intimacy to her very cool update of soul. You can hear it on her debut album, 'Ctrl.' Along with fellow LIFT artists Aminé, Julia Michaels, Khalid, and Jessie Reyez, she helped celebrate Vevo Halloween 2017 - The Other World, presented by Honda Stage, and yes, she was incredible. As a singer... it kinda annoys me how people comment so much on her breathing & voice. People who don’t sing & perform really don’t understand how much it takes to do what she’s doing. She could just stand in one spot & focus on her breathing & sound better but she wouldn’t be nearly as entertaining. Let’s not forget she’s doing this in front of thousands of people... just because she’s famous doesn’t mean this is a piece of cake to her. She’s still human. Damn people are so critical. Smh

She just needs to build up her endurance and probably get kick ass background vocals like Beyoncé so if she’s out of breath someone can back her up. I love her ! She’s a young artist with a lot of room to grow in the area of performance but I believe she’s very talented and will became even more amazing in the near future.

Plenty of artist perform (moving and singing) without running out of breath on the first song (Beyonce, Rihanna, Ariana, etc.) Her energy is great but she is a singer. Therefore, her first focus should be singing even if that means sitting in one spot. She's been around for a couple of years.....plenty of time to work on breath control.

SZA I love you and your songs since Teen Spirit, you are one of my favorites artists of all and for that reason i have something to say with all love: you need to breath!! Hear you trying to get high notes without NO air in every song of the show is such a suffocate and agonizing sensation. Your have a amazing voice and my advice to you is to try to learn how keep breathing correctly while you sing, dance and talk to people on the show. I don’t know, maybe some physical conditioning class?? PS: I’m from Brasil and I would love to get the opportunity to watch your show some day singing anyway 💕
