My friend watched me play a game where I used unholy frenzy heavily, he said afterwards that I won because I was using my abilities and he wasn't. I think that's why UF is good against lower skilled players because it's just an easy spell to use and you win simply by the fact you're using your spells more

Because bat swarm has a maximum damage limit and it hit the workers and footmen first before reaching the riflemen
When the game first came out, for a very short while there was no limit, same for frost nova. Those were interesting times.
