    I have MEN & Neuroendocrine Carcinoid Cancer that started in my appendix. I was told by all my specialists that 1 in 5 million of people with this have it started in the appendix. I think you said most start in the appendix? Most people I’ve met have liver, GI and intestine primary tumours. I’ve only met one person with the same as me. Thanks for this schematic. I had/have wheezing, flushing and itchy it’s horrible. I’ve had 4 surgeries to remove the Mets

      @@MedicosisPerfectionalis I’m about to have my 4th surgery in two years. The Octreotide helps the symptoms but they aren’t 100% gone. I’ve also developed a rare allergy to one of my chemo meds that had me covered in hives, blisters, redness, itching and wheezing so this month has been difficult. Hopefully after this surgery my symptoms will improve cause it’s not easy especially being diagnosed during the pandemic.

      Quick tip: when you’re trying to learn and understand, you should forget about university, professors, exams, rankings,…etc…There should be you, a book, and a pencil. You should have one objective: “to understand what you’re reading.” The more you actively read, the more you’ll understand…Then bring a piece of paper and try to connect the dots together…It’s a pleasurable and fulfilling experience!

      If the fibrosis affected an area that’s responsible for valve closing, then the valve wouldn’t be able to close -> Regurgitation.
      Recall that rheumatic fever (the same disease) can cause mitral stenosis or regurgitation.

      @kathyjordan3361 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually just did the test myself. I made a comparison with regular water. There is a difference in the color. The urine one turned a much darker brown. I can definitely see the side by side difference.

    • @kevinjulenesawatzky5700
      @kevinjulenesawatzky5700 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kathyjordan3361 lol nice. I kind of went down a rabbit hole with this experiment. My conclusion on it though is it is probably highly useful if a doctor is highly suspicious of carcinoid syndrome as the patient would probably have high amounts of serotonin in the urine most of the time. My results were all over the place. But I can conclude that my first and second void makes a dark brown red compared to the other samples obtained in the household lol. By noon my sample seems to be on target with the other samples. I don’t know why my sample does that in the morning but I’m sure there are other things that react with the ferric chloride solution.

    Hello! Thank you for all your work. I have a question sir.
    In this week I underwent a surgery - biopsy of left supraclavicular node. Short story: when I palpated i felt a lump under my skin, painless + progressive fat loss and tiredness. I am waiting for the results now. I am 23 yrs old
    My question is - i had 2 left supraclavicular nodes removed (the entire node) - they weren't that big (1-1,5 cm) - do I have a risk for lymphedema? How will the lymph drain in the thoraxic duct? Is my immunity from digestive system affected? I will apreciate your answer because I am also scared about lymphedema and low immunity from the digestive system/lungs etc (abdomen+ left thorax)

      I have been tired for a long time and have lost a lot of weight, and the stool has been dropping fatty balls, and for a while the symptoms have increased, and after tests it was found that serotonin was high in the body and indoleacetic acid, nuclear pictures were made, FDG, as well as gallium and Tatuk, and nothing appeared in it. Doctors say that the carcinoids are slow in growth and slow in spreading. I now suffer from a burning pain in my back from the inside and in my bones there was a sticky, burning substance. After the descent of the fat balls from me, the heartburn stopped, as well as the abdominal pain. Doctors are puzzled that they think that these tumors came down with the stool, and they are confused about the necessary pictures to show the spread of carcinoids. Is the i123IMBG image useful for detecting the spread of carcinoids? Is my case similar or do you know about it, please come back to me, I am waiting impatiently. Is the treatment of carcinoids simple and can it be cured? The doctors told me that the symptoms and examinations of all carcinoids confirm this, but the pictures did not show anything to hide me that it is weak and did not absorb somatostein in the picture, so they may make a picture of iodine

    Omg…talking about the dumb dr vs a good one..for years I hav wake up to left quadrant extreme cramps. Need to move bowels it won’t happen. Then my BP shoots up, my face gets beet red, I start vomiting and then if I’m lucky the bowels will move..and most times I’m vomiting and on toilet at the same time. I know I’m gonna stroke out one day. Long story short, I had vertigo attack,went to er, told dr about my cramping, told GP, told neurosurgeon, told ent, told eye dr, told ent specialist and the GI. Nobody even mention what it could be until I had to see a cancer blood dr who suggested I get tested for this. He said he had a few patients that had these tumors. I am waiting on the urine results. You never want something to be wrong but I don’t know how much longer I can go through this. My heart beating out of my chest and the high blood pressure is scary. Wish me luck!
