I just found armor in Level 6 for this version (which is not in the same place here as in NES). On the floor where the Dragon lies just before he starts his attack, go to the right set of ladders and climb up two stories; you will be facing a Red Devil for this, but defeat him or at least get the monster to move away and then jump onto the platform where he was--do this again from the right side here and a basket will then appear and fall all the way to the Dragon's floor. This will contain the armor which really does help in this brief but insane level. (I'm going to spam this in many of the GBC G&G videos here because for the life of me I could not find any armor pickup locations for the GBC version online).
That ending battle is just anticlimatic... repeat the entire game! You expect to get something a bit different or an extar challenge, but nope, just have the Shield and you are going to be able to win.
Aw, no mention was made of the strongth needed for a such a feat. Even though the monsters in this version seem less sturdy than the ones in the others, it still looks like it can get pretty problematic, especially so in that sort of boss rush level. Good goin' getting through it all... twice :P
this is one of those games I love but hate at the same time. It's a great game and fun concept, but the difficulty kills it for me. Only once did I sit through the master system version all the way until the end. It took my friend and I 4 hours to do it once.
The master system and mega drive were the most balanced difficulty wise... bear in mind these are arcade ports. The purpose of the coin-operated machines was of course to gather coins in little time while at the same time offering something you wanna keep trying. The shorter a game, the more difficult, usually...
It sounds a lot better when you're playing it on an actual Game Boy Color without headphones. It plays a lot better too, despite the screen crunch. Neither are as good as the arcade original though.

:O =( =O =o
What I like about the ending to each run of the game is that the ending is translated correctly and has perfect grammar.
this game is the ball to my sac
Thanks, I'm going to watch this one ! I always like how Game Boys versions of VGM sound like.

Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Jeremy would have appreciated the great input. Jeremy’s dad

hi.
excuse me but is the game released in us and europe ? if YES, where can I buy it ? THANKS for answering.
zukoulou It's out for both US and EU. However, I doubt any normal store sells it now. Your best bet is to check somewhere online like ebay.
Did Tim Follin do the music?
Unfortunately, Jeremy is no longer here to help you, I wish he was. Hopefully someone out there will answer your question. Jeremy’s dad
Jeremy Mika
The music was done by Allister Brimble

I hate it when commenters and other people talk crap about games like this.
hi
The music in this port feels so...edgy. Especially that once depressing level 3-4 music.

How do you record your gameboy?

It could've been a GBC hooked to a GameCube, or maybe an emulator.
Funny, GBC version easy, original NES hard
No, it was first released in 1985 on the arcades.
It may seem easy, but even in 1999 it was still hard. This guy/girl is a pro at gaming.
God, this remake has an awful soundtrack. The original version for the NES was far more bearable.
