This is nuts. By far the thing that is overwhelming the most for legit pilot training is the radio stuff, and basically the only reason I haven't done it... prior to the migraines and vertigo from COVID, that is.
I'm so happy just completed my first vatsim flight from Heathrow to Amsterdam. I had to contact controllers via text as I have no his but it worked. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on next flights.
Take a deep breath before talking on freq. It will help. Don't be intimidated by ATC there people too :) don't worry if you mess up it happens ATC controllers are not perfect either they mess up too. Write down everything to make it easier use C R A F T for IFR clearance It helps a lot, look it up if you don't know what it is. wow x plane looks a lot more realistic, i am surprised that you have not fully converted to x plane 11 seing as now everbody including pilots say that x planes flight model is a lot more realistic.
Wow i did not know flight sims were this detailed, so are those ATC in training you are talking to. I have never played a flight sim before but I am downloading flight sim 2020 now and watching this video. This makes me wish i chose being a pilot as my career.

Why is it that Vatsim has frequencies that I cannot dial into my FF-767 radios in Xplane?? For example,..here's one randomly chosen, 118.25 might be in use by Vatsim Ground but my radio will only dial in either 118.200 or 118.50. What's going on here please?

Wouldn't you usually switch off the hydraulic A pumps for pushbacks as they are connected to the nose gear. You don't want the nose steering to be active during pushback. But otherwise great video and good entertainment for a relax evening! :)
On the 737 they dont turn them off because during a walk around the pilot has to check and know if there are any hydraulic leaks. If the hydraulic pumps are turned off, the pilot cant see any apparent hydraulic fluid leak. They are turned on right after the power is connected and they stay on till shutdown.
@@LUXAviators yes they will but the next crew will turn it on during preflight or right before the walk around for the reasons I mentioned in my previous comment.

I observed you were flying manually whilst LNAV & VNAV were selected without the autopilot. When LNAV& VNAV selected how are they controlling the aircraft without autopilot whilst you are flying the aircraft manually?
Typical sim pilot phenomena: overcontrolling the aircraft. Let the airplane fly. The more input you make, the worse it gets. If you want to start real flight training, this will help you a lot.
My yoke input doesn’t always translate to the yoke output you see in the sim, especially with the Saitek yoke. I’m starting flight training soon and I know it will be different 😉
Is there any regulation that requires to speak LOUD AND CLEAR during radio transmission????!!!!!! Why it is always not understandable?! I mean even in the real aviation it may be deemed as unrespectfull way of conversation.

Have you got the new pmdg 737 ngxu yet? its like 99 dollars for a few updated things but you get the 737 free for fs2020 when its released
Around 35:30 you had a problem with 529 atis’s, if you’ve using SWIFT, just Tune both comm’s to the atis you want to listen to;)

Vpilot automatically scans installed aircraft and detects them. At least this is what it seemed to have done for me

you a day late and a dollar short. Once they integrate VR and tactile function it will be as real as it gets for the layman at a fraction of the cost.

It's simply a Saitek throttle, but with 737 throttle handles by CockpitSimParts

Yeah the flight director and speed/altitude bugs will show what the autopilot would have done

Not as far as I know if, it's common sense, but some people apparently need to be told that they speak too soft. Controllers can easily do that.
