Such a great video! Not only your images are getting better and better but also it seems that you feel always more comfortable in front of camera and it's a pleasure to "spend time together", share enthusiasm and learn from you. And of course those shots were stunning!
Hello Sjoerd , just found your channel. Great video ! I live in the Netherlands and do wildlife photography but would really like to do more videography. So more content like this would be very much appreciated.
just found this cause i searched tips for nature videography. Havent looked yet but i hope you did more of this. Sounds like its what u want to do and youre good at it. Thanks for the teaching.
Very insightful video and damn, you have some nice image quality! I'm always looking for practical tips on this subject as I'm planning to get into wildlife and nature video soon. Btw, as for your comment on the tired arm from vlogging, maybe it's an idea to use an action camera on a selfie stick for the vlogging footage. Nowadays with stuff like the dji action 4 you get some very good image quality at an extremely light weight. Plus, these cams are perfectly stabilized and give you the option to take underwater shots and w/e to add to your versatility.
Such a great video! Got excited sharing the enthusiasm of seeing those animals. : -) These videos are so fun, keep it up! And beautiful images as ever.
Great video very helpful. Quick Question , do you use the IS of the lens? i use my 100 400 with Lumix S5 and i find the lens IS very inconsistent especially at crop mode ,C1 and C2 options , where the lens is almost at 700m with E-stab. i always get a subtle jittery jello effect that is very hard to stabilize in post , so i end up dont using the lens Stab. do you have any similar issues?? I am trying to find if my lens is defective. Thx
Man, we love everything you do! This was super awesome!!!!!! What a beast of a lens 😲😲😲. Those deers!!! With that light!!! A couple of years ago we went to a place in the north of Italy on the mountains - breathtaking, man! And one day we woke up at 5 am to go to a lake to shoot…. I wish I can go now with the 6k pro!!!! Here, where we live nature is also wonderful, the only problem is that we have a lot of wild boards and they could be dangerous! Great video man!!!
Whats happening with the white flickering background at 6:45 ? Is it just me seeing this? I usually see that effects with mavic shots. Other then that great video! A good tripod is really underestimated. I've had great experience with sachtler, but they are pricey.
Its not just you! I honestly dont know why, but I feel like its too much light for that Sony to handle! Sachtler is amazing, but far out of my budget range, haha
What rod base plate are you using for your 6K pro? Mine ends up putting the rods too far down so that matte boxes (that are rod mounted) and lens supports don’t work. Loved the video btw, some great insight into the process
@@SjoerdWess gottcha, I think I’m gonna have to buy a new one, bought one that looks very similar to yours in 2016 but the holes must be drilled different now because I couldn’t mount it with two screws - thanks for the reply!
well it was waist of my time, if you'll remove dreamy music there is nothing to look at. Cows in the filed and a swan in a community pond😏... But at least you had a great time doing it!😉
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that whispers expletives when I think I have a good shot.
Hahahah, thanks for confirming this.. started to think I was the only one lol

Thank you so much! I also do feel like I am more comfy doing this, luckily, because in the beginning it was terrible haha!
Great job! First video I've seen of yours and I'm just getting into deer photography/videography so this is fantastic. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Amazing video! I feel like filming these videos is so exhausting but the feeling you get watching the footage at the end is totally worth it!
It is haha. But its rewarding at the same time!
Excellent. Inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I enjoyed the journey, you took us on, inspired me to go into nature 🙏🏾 helpful tips as well.
Glad you enjoyed!
Very good content, enjoyable to watch. I can imagine the rush you felt getting those shots. Idk how people can thumbs down this. Ignore them.
Thanks a lot man! Some people must hate very cute animals and beautiful light? Haha. Cheers dude!
Wow.. those footages of 🦌 were so cool.. wow..
Thanks guys! Such an amazing moment it was!
@@SjoerdWess bmpc 6k pro footages are so nice.. what's the other camera you were shooting ,Sony A6500 ? Did you quit Premier pro completely?
@@ShijoCT650 the vlog cam is the A6500! And yes, no more Premiere for me
@@SjoerdWess I really feel that the footages from BMPC 6K pro are far more superior than the ones from A6500

Love it!! Keep up the good work and keep making these vlogs!
I willllllll brother!
I can't find the link to the tripod that you are showing in this video
nice tips for newcomers, nice shots. one tip : don't use sunshade when wind blowing, and ad weight under your tripod, with a string.
Thanks!
Manfrotto 502 + Gitzo carbon legs do you still recommend this tripod? Cheers 🥂 love your videos!
I'd go for a different head, but sturdy Gitzo legs are still a banger!!

In most cases, do you usually keep the focus at infinity?
Not really. I try to shoot as wide open as I can so I focus accordingly

Hi Sjoerd, Amazing footage! Do you record the sound separately on a recorder? Or do you take some shots only for the sound. Regards John
Hi John!
The birds you hear was all recorded in camera using Deity microphones!
Hey Sjoed, was je bij de Waterleidingduinen?
Yes!
Ik ben er ook veel geweest. Een heerlijk gebied☺️
