Can you hear the storm going on outside? Or does the DaVinci Resolve voice isolation tool do a good job? It was mayham that day...

Was dit met de storm opgenomen in juli?

Especially in the beginning, I thought: "that voice sounds a little bit manipulated, like you've used voice isolation" 😅
I didn't hear stormy things, but I've watched the video with my smartphone speakers - so take it with a grain of salt...

You really know your stuff man, this was awesome.
Can definitely see the difference yet it still looks really natural.
As I’ve said before, it’s really helpful that you put up the diagrams of what the layout is.
    Awesome video mate!
Btw did frank purposely match the colour of his hat to the woodwork or was that a happy accident 🤔

Thank you! 🤗 I resently found your channel and I really like your videos. Lighting is so important and to have detailed videos like this on TH-cam is so cool!
What would you do when the light outside would change and start effecting your shot? (Sun, clouds.. ) Choosing the right time will be one option but that‘s not always possible.
Which light would you recommend to start with? The Aputure 600 is nice but not the cheapest option. 🙈 I do have the godox sl60 but it would not be strong enough in this scenarios.
    Thank you for your help.
    Cheers
    Stefan

Stefan! Yea, a cloudy/sunny day usually makes life quite hard. You gotta find a spot where it doesn't affect the shot too much. The background is ok, but dont let it hit your talent. You could solve this with diffusion sheets (or shower curtains).
SL60 is a great light. If you find yourself in need of more for one interview, consider renting it. If you find yourself shooting 4/5 interviews per month, consider investing in light (if you notice you rent often). Thats a bit how I go about things!

Sensible follow up to prior “recon” post, Sjoerd. Effective animated graphics, although yellow font on orange background did not stand out enough, IMO. No, did not detect outside storm at all. Saw some leaves moving in window at one point, but nothing stormy.
Does it matter to lighting that Frank was wearing a cap? Do you determine ahead of time if the interview subject will be wearing something that might change your lighting set up? How about the interviewer - in or out of frame? Cheers!

    • @SjoerdWess
      @SjoerdWess  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

It definitely does matter, but its a simple fix. Just tweak the light a bit up and down. Usually if you use a big source like this one, it wont make a big difference as the light wrap is so good. The interviewer would be out of frame normally.
