- Here is my build of the Airfix 1/48 scale Gloster Meteor. A nice kit of a unique subject of one of the first jet fighters built by Great Britian, It saw action in Korea, and there is a story floating around that it actually shot down a Mig.
Details in the kit are pretty good, and I built it out of the box with no aftermarket stuff. Hope you enjoy it. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
Nice solid build, good presentation and a good build review. Plus, you had fun, the main goal.
Thank you. It was a fun kit.
Hi Paul, that was a great build with the meteor, not really a kit you see a lot of, congratulations on a job well done, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia
Thanks for your comments. It is a kit you don't see that often, and a subject that is overlooked. I guess that's why I built it.
One minor detail: the Aussie Meteor F.8 had a prominent metal covering on the back of the bubble canopy. Not sure what purpose it was supposed to serve, but it was a hindrance to the pilot as it significantly reduced his rear view. Which, obviously, is not good for a jet fighter.
Is there another canopy included in the kit?
The second bubble canopy is included in the kit. I chose not to use it.
@@paulsmodels No problem, just thought you might not have been aware of which canopy was actually used on that aircraft.
