I'm diabetic and before the Affordable Care Act, I had to go through underwriting and could never get healthcare. I remember a day I drove up to the pharmacy drive-through , and by the time I got to the window, I was sobbing so hard. It was embarrassing. The pharmacist asked me to come into the store (pre COVID), and some pharmacists talked to me and told me about the ACA. I ended up filing for bankruptcy. It was so shameful. My identical twin sister died 9yrs ago because she did not have health care at age 60yrs old she had this staph infection in her blood that she let go because it was to expensive to go see a doctor, she did not know this was going on in her body until it was too late, her husband also died 3 yrs before she did same thing no health insurance 😢 I believe everyone should have health insurance

Yes! Because my dad had high blood pressure and cholesterol, he couldn't get health insurance for himself or the family. I cannot tell you how many broken bones we had to set at home and just hope they healed "good enough" to get by. I suffered shortness of breath my whole life until I was finally able to get health insurance when I started working, and had no clue I had a heart defect until then because we could not afford to get tested or treated for anything!

I'm diabetic and before the Affordable Care Act, I had to go through underwriting and could never get healthcare. I remember a day I drove up to the pharmacy drive-through , and by the time I got to the window, I was sobbing so hard. It was embarrassing.
The pharmacist asked me to come into the store (pre COVID), and some pharmacists talked to me and told me about the ACA.
I ended up filing for bankruptcy. It was so shameful. Talk about

My identical twin sister died 9yrs ago because she did not have health care at age 60yrs old she had this staph infection in her blood that she let go because it was to expensive to go see a doctor, she did not know this was going on in her body until it was too late, her husband also died 3 yrs before she did same thing no health insurance 😢 I believe everyone should have health insurance

36:59 life before the ACA was horrid. My Aunt had a SINGLE abnormal pap smear (all subsequent tests for the rest of her life were fine) and she was denied health coverage until she was finally able to get Medicare. It's absolutely DISGUSTING that Republicans want to take us back. FDJT
Yes! Because my dad had high blood pressure and cholesterol, he couldn't get health insurance for himself or the family. I cannot tell you how many broken bones we had to set at home and just hope they healed "good enough" to get by. I suffered shortness of breath my whole life until I was finally able to get health insurance when I started working, and had no clue I had a heart defect until then because we could not afford to get tested or treated for anything!
