75 is really versatile once you get the multiples down. 50 and 100 allow for quicker calculation in 30 seconds, but their average gives a lot of room to maneuver.
I like when I get all 4 maths rounds in the time allowed(even though I didn't get the conundrum, which I rarely do). 75x6=450 7-2=5 450-5=445 75x4=300 8x8=64 64-4-1=59 300+59=359 25x8=200 6-1=5 200+5=205 75x6=450 450-10-7-2=431
75 × 6 - 10 ÷ 2 = 0 (I'm surprised. I thought with the 75, it'd be a rather troublesome one, but no) 75 × 4 + 8 × 8 - (4 + 1) = 0 (still no misses yet) 25 × 8 + 6 - 1 = 0 (OK, no way I'm getting 4/4 out of this, am I?!) 75 × 6 - (10 + 7 + 2) = 0 (is it really that easy today? Surely not???)
359 75 x 4 =300 + (8 x 8) = 64 - 4 - 1 = 359
Yes this is how I did it. It’s so satisfying when all the numbers are used.
6:49 - very clever The Chemical Brothers reference by Colin.
The numbers were surprisingly easy this time, even with all the 75s.
75 is really versatile once you get the multiples down. 50 and 100 allow for quicker calculation in 30 seconds, but their average gives a lot of room to maneuver.
I'm ecstatic. I got all four for the first time ever, and didn't press pause either.
It's all downhill from here.
I like when I get all 4 maths rounds in the time allowed(even though I didn't get the conundrum, which I rarely do).
75x6=450
7-2=5
450-5=445
75x4=300
8x8=64
64-4-1=59
300+59=359
25x8=200
6-1=5
200+5=205
75x6=450
450-10-7-2=431
445 and 431 were identical for me with a subtle difference.
Both (75-2)*6 then +/- 7
For 431 I did 75-2=73, then x6=438 and then took off the 7
75 - 2 = 73
73 x 6 = 438
(438 + 7 = 445)
6 x 2 = 12
12 - 75 = 63
63 x 7 = 441
(441 - 10 = 431)
445 using all the numbers:
75 + (2 X 7) = 89
8 - 6 = 2
10/2 = 5
then 89 x 5 = 445
359 (struggled with this one)
(75 + 8 + 8) = 91
91 x 4 = 364
364 - 4 - 1 = 359
431:
(75 + 10) x 10 = 850
850/2 = 425
425 + 6 = 431 (took too long, but fun)
445=75*(8-6/2)+7*10
(75 × 7) + 6 - (10 × 10) = 431
445:
Almost the same as the contestants, except:
(6 × 75) - _(7 - 2)_ = *_445_*
For 431:
Used Rachel's method before she mentioned it.
205:
25 * 8 = 200
200 + 6 - 1 = 205
25 * 8 = 200
200 + 3 + 1 + 1 = 205
3 - 1 = 2
8 * 2 = 16
25 + 16 = 41
6 - 1 = 5
41 * 5 = 205
6 * 3 = 18
8 + 1 + 1 = 10
18 * 10 = 180
180 + 25 = 205
I went differently for 445:
75 + 6 + 8 = 89
10 / 2 = 5
89 × 5 = 445
431:
75 - 2 = 73
73 * 6 = 438
438 - 7 = 431
75 * 6 = 450
450 - 10 - 7 - 2 = 431
7 - 2 = 5
10 * 10 * 5 = 500
500 + 6 - 75 = 431
10 * 10 * 7 / 2 = 350
350 + 75 + 6 = 431
I was thinking that the Conundrum was "Evangelize"
@@MatthiaGryffine Too many E’s and letters, I’m sure you’ve worked out. 😔
I got stuck trying to thing of something made of V, E, A , E and L to put in front of ...zing.
I'm not good with anagrams.
445 = (75 + 8 + 6) * 10 / 2
445=6×75-7+2
445=10/2×(75+8+6)
431 = (75 - 2) × 6 - 7
75 × 6 - 10 ÷ 2 = 0 (I'm surprised. I thought with the 75, it'd be a rather troublesome one, but no)
75 × 4 + 8 × 8 - (4 + 1) = 0 (still no misses yet)
25 × 8 + 6 - 1 = 0 (OK, no way I'm getting 4/4 out of this, am I?!)
75 × 6 - (10 + 7 + 2) = 0 (is it really that easy today? Surely not???)
I did 445 a bit differently. 75×6-7+2
Fleshyou, housefly.

431, 75×6-10-7-2
431=6×75-10-7-2
431=7×(75-2×6)-10
205=8×25+3+1+1
205=8×(25+1)-3
205=(6-1)×(25+(3-1)×8)
I spotted that before the timer even started. I couldn't believe he see that.
Not my favourite numbers clip...
445:
75 * 6 = 450
450 + 2 - 7 = 445
7 * 6 = 42
42 + 8 + 2 = 52
52 * 10 = 520
520 - 75 = 445
8 * 7 = 56
56 + 2 - 6 = 52
52 * 10 = 520
520 - 75 = 445
75 * 7 = 525
10 * 8 = 80
525 - 80 = 445
