I’m exactly 5’5 on the dot and drinking a gallon of water was my thing at one point. But honestly I was peeing so much, I felt kinda dizzy, probably because I was flushing all the electrolytes out of my body. I also have no way to prove this but I think my medication wasn’t as effective. I’ve now settled into about 72 oz water bottle, plus whatever else I drink during the day. I live in northern Canada so it’s cold, I’m not sweating 24/7 in fall, winter and spring. In the summer I do up my water intake to about 90 oz.
I struggle sooo hard to even drink half a gallon, I haven't attempted 75 hard only because of the amount of water. I could do all the other things, but not the water. You are absolutely right when you say you really have to THINK about drinking water.

I used to do this and realized that it depletes a lot of nutrients in your body (because you pee it all out). Now, I spend too much money on minerals drops for my water to not have my body hold on to it haha. I definitely agree with drinking half your body weight in ounces!!
My pelvic PT told me to have half my body weight in ounces and then some more if I am working out that day. 5’4 and too much water can be hard! I also drink water with some drink mix. It makes it easier for me than plain water.
One thing I’ve noticed about drinking water from a straw rather than a cup is the straw actually promotes more bloating and fills you up faster so its actually a lot easier to drink a gallon when drinking from cup ❤
So true that you need to plan out your water drinking schedule. I need to go back to using those apps that remind me to drink it bc I’m terrible at remembering to drink it most days 😅
I do drink a gallon a day. It’s basically like 6 of my favorite cup. When I do my skin is better, my cramps are lessened (I mean both muscle and endometriosis period cramps. They are both muscle cramps but women aren’t taught that cramps are cramps so I’ll specify) It helps my sport, my gym or dance time, my kidneys. I have endometriosis and I can get a UTI or Kidney infection ect real quick. I constantly have to flush my system. I do pee a lot but I can time it now. Drink one of my 24 oz cups, around an hour later I’ll need the restroom. I’ll start off with an electrolyte packet and that helps my cramps IMMENSELY and then throughout the day I might add in flavor drops (just a bit I don’t need constant sweet all the time) or nuun tabs if I need extra potassium. People are often kind of rude about it if they realize that’s how much I drink. Anything that seems a little difficult for them just really irks everyone for some reason.
Morgan - would love some thoughts on your sauna blanket! I have been looking at getting one and just not quite sure if it's worth it. What do you think?
the thought of trying to drink a gallon daily sounds so exhausting lol I always get so scared whenever I drink too much at once because of the whole drowning thing LOL props to you for trying it though!
I put in Water drop in my water, it makes me drink water, I found them on Facebook but they also have a water drop on TH-cam too, if anyone is having trouble drinking water ❤ Edit - also the Water drop has a app to remind you to drink water too 💧
I peed myself in public doing the gallon challenge one time. I’ll never drink that much water again 😂

I did 100oz a day for 75 Soft, and I swear I was anemic during it. Every time my iron got checked, it was low. And I lowkey felt the effects of it.
