Steve McMichael deserves to be in the HOF. He was the heart & soul of the Bears D-line, played in more games than any other Bear in history with 207 from 1981-1993 (incl. playoffs). He played all 207 consecutively without missing a single game as a Chicago Bear. He played his last season in 1994 with Green Bay, finishing his career by playing a total of 221 CONSECUTIVE games. A 5 time All-Pro, 2 time Pro Blwler and 2nd on the Bears All-time sack list with 92.5. McMichael, once a giant of a man has withered away after being diagnosed with ALS in 2019. He is now confined to a wheelchair without the use of his arms or legs. What I'm saying is, it's long past time for his enshrinement in the HOF. His career, overshadowed by his '85 Bears HOF teammates is more than deserving of the honor. I hope the honor comes along before it's too late and not posthumously. Whenever I see a HOF enshrinement take place AFTER an athlete's recent death, it makes me think of two things. 1. HOF voters forgot about the player, but upon hearing news of the athlete's death, they were reminded of his/her existence. So, reviewed the player's career, realized their screw up and set about to rectify the error. OR 2. The athlete was ALWAY worthy of enshrinement, but despised by the media, ownership & his peers, many of home are HOF voters. As a result, committee members deny the player's entrance to the HOF during his/her lifetime, but vote for the athlete's enshrinement the year after their death.. It has been suggested by some that Ron Santo was a victim of this mentality.
I was right there front row end zone maybe 12 seats in from the visitors tunnel. As a Vikings fan that catch is engrained in my brain like a bad PTSD scar.
Anyone else notice that the Bears ALWAYS open the season at home. I'd like to see the schedule (too lazy to do the research) since this game up to present and see the percentage of home openers. I bet it's around 75%!

Bears finished 11-5, losing to Dallas in the wild card round. Ditka was fired after the Bears went 5-11 in 1992.
