Holland's strategic choices have always been problematic. It can be seen that he can no longer control so many soldiers.Soldiers should concentrate on one battlefield to win decisive battles, rather than die separately.
what are the best scaling civs for late game? been playing a lot of long games with friends recently and we couldnt really say so far. china seems strong but italy has the improved lombard rates after sending the age 4 card.

Cav is a defensive unit when paired with skirm. Need to kite together, let skirm do all the damage and not dive in. Most people throw like this. 11:10

I love Mexico in team games they very good imo, China less so but anything can be good with the right strategy, so play what you enjoy!

some but not all of the best scaling civs would be - Malta, Russia, Ports, Aztec (units OP), Inca, Italy
