    Sad watching this for all Cypriots and that Turkish Cypriot was right if all the Cypriots could get together the Cyprus problem would be solved
    Shame on the powers that be

      @DSZxNavtiisx I think the problem in Cyprus began when Cypriots wanted to be greeks and turks
      When they all were just Cypriot with different religions and all spoke the greek Cypriot dialect there was never a problem in Cyprus they all got on very well and that includes the maronite Cypriots, Armenian Cypriots,Cypriots of black/Egyptian descent and the Latins and Jews
      But then greeks and turks came from the mainlands taught in schools
      Went along with the church/mosque
      So their religion turned into race
      Then heavily influenced by Greece and Turkey then the cypriot identity began to die
      Tbh genetically there is no difference between a GC and TC
      They all have the practically the same ancestry

      @@eternalspirit81 totally agree, I am not Cypriot but I live in Limassol. And when I visit both sides than you can basically see no difference in the looks of the people they look the same both drink zivania both eat halloumi they are just Cypriots and as you said Turkey and Greece tries to push them away from their Cypriot identity

    • @eternalspirit81
      @eternalspirit81 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @DSZxNavtiisx when I was in Cyprus yrs ago there was a saying " U can tell them apart in the street" what they mean by this is the difference in looks,way of thinking. the Cypriots on both sides are so different from the people in Greece and Turkey and unfortunately over the last 60yrs too much immigration from Greece and Turkey to Cyprus has occurred
      I trust Nicos christodoulides and I really think he'll be the one to unite Cyprus
      Then I believe Cyprus really will prosper and never let foreigners cause trouble in Cyprus again

      @@eternalspirit81 yes that would be amazing but I am not sure if Nikos can unite the island I mean at his acceptance speech I saw nearly no Cypriot flags only the Greek Flag, if you would have showed someone from around the world a picture of his acceptance speech he would think he is a politician from Greece not from Cyprus. Also in Cyprus they celebrate Greek holidays for example Ohi-Day this celebration has nothing to do with Cyprus, I mean Greece was invaded not Cyprus so why do they celebrate it....

      American was behind it and still behind it.
      The U.S. Government encouraging the Greek coup. So the U.S. can have there communications facilities and two British Sovereign Base Areas (SBA’s) established by treaty on the island.
      I don’t expect NOTHING from the U.S.

      What can the west do my friend continue to allow ethnic cleansing?
      Whether u can admit this to yourself or not but truth be told the ethnic cleaning of the people of Turkish descent in Cyprus was wrong and caused the problem in the first place
      Remember the Turkish Cypriots didn't do anything wrong but Try to defend themselves against 80% of the island
      Thinking... makarios didn't help matters by not giving all Cypriots equal rights
      Think of it like this how would the British people of greek cypriot descent feel if Britain said your only a minority so your now 2nd class citizens 🤔
      Also the greek junta invaded first to help the greek Cypriots ethnically cleanse 18% of the island so is it any wonder that Turkey intervened? Whether u like it or not they stopped the fighting but while the cypriot youth was being slaughtered the big tough guys the greek junta hid up in the mountains and didn't even fire a shot
      When I see the greek Cypriots in Cyprus flying the flag of Greece I think to myself are u all crazy and you've all been very well manipulated by Greece
      I know it's difficult to admit this but sadly it's the truth
      There has to become a time in Cyprus where all Cypriots stand together flying the cypriot flag

    • @eternalspirit81
      @eternalspirit81 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also did you know that the greek Cypriots kept going on about enosis in Cyprus (Union with greece) but Greece never once said they wanted union with Cyprus and greek politicians described Cyprus as a thorn in their eye back then
      I really think that the greek Cypriots really need to think about this
      Wouldn't you rather an unified Cyprus where all Cypriots have equal rights and everyone speaks the greek Cypriot dialect with Turkish, Arabic and slang words that all the Cypriots used to speak and the only difference is with the people is religion which was the case before the civil War and foreign interventions
      Cyprus would be more prosperous and even more beautiful

    Abandoned cars, buildings demolished, ruins everywhere, no family life or children, no restaurants serving up food and music, no happy people that I could see, just tourists. It's really pathetic. BUT, at the same time there are huge possibilities for renewal that I can imagine perhaps companies or entities wanting to restore and bring back from the dead the former happier times.

    Before the 1974 the greek cypriots was killing the turkish cypriots.We are as a country should have done someting in order to protect them and we did we prevented the genocide.You have to respect us 🇹🇷 long live The north cypruss

    • @eternalspirit81
      @eternalspirit81 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most people that know the truth about Cyprus do respect the Turkish military for their intervention
      But why have they got such a huge military involvement in North Cyprus still? Also why are the Turkish Cypriots not allowed to do their own thing without Turkey's say so? Tbh they should be allowed to manage their own affairs and keep their Cypriot secular culture

    • @infomatiktr
      @infomatiktr ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@eternalspirit81 Because turkish cypriots are our blood and we have to protect them thats all Long live North cyprus 🇹🇷🇹🇷

    • @eternalspirit81
      @eternalspirit81 ปีที่แล้ว

      @İnfomatik but your only 40 miles away from Cyprus if any further military action was needed to protect the cypriot people of the island that are of Turkish descent
      You have to understand my friend that as long as the huge size of the Turkish army is stationed in Cyprus the rest of the world will keep the Turkish Cypriots embargoed and that means they won't be able to represent their secular Cypriot culture and be a recognised people and that culture is different from Turkey Turkish culture
      I think if Turkey was to pull some troops out of Cyprus so that the Turkish Cypriot armed force is the same size as the Greek Cypriot force then that could be a bargain tool to help solve the Cyprus problem
      Then if the the Republic of Cyprus was to cause a problem and try cause trouble I believe the rest of the world would think hold up a moment you Greek Cypriots are starting again and all the respect they have by the international community would go down the toilet and all the Turkish military would have to say to the world is this is the 2nd time now we've had to intervene to protect people that are native to Cyprus just because they are of Turkish descent so the Greek Cypriots Brought it on themselves
      Also the Government of Greece saw Cyprus as a thorn in their eye back then and never once did they look or state that they wanted unification with Cyprus
