This guy SHOULD have been The Punishers Joker! He is an AMAZING Villain. He is an absolute monster but isn't actually that malicious. He's just very comfortable with violence and has no problem with it. If you hire him to kill someone he does it because it's his job. He is Franks equal in every way except he actually enjoys his Life and doesn't take things too seriously unlike Frank whose grimness prevents him from enjoying anything.
I love Barracuda cause it gives Punisher one of his best moments. Barracuda threatened to kill Punisher’s kid, Punisher blacks out. When we see him again he’s in a hospital and he basically deduces what happened. He broke wrists snapping handcuffs off, breaking his fingers punching Barracuda as hard as he could, there’s flesh in his teeth from when he Bit down on him and more. One of The best punisher moments ever.
The creepiest thing about him , Is that he Is nice , not like fake nice and then im gonna stab you ,More like he tells you a interesting anecdote while skinning you and even apologizes if he screws up, like he Is breaking your extremities and suddenly Is supper time , he stops and bring two lunches

That's what made Ennis' Punisher stories the best. Sociopolitical commentary in comics done right, similar to Jonah Hex in Dc during this period. A better comics industry would have give Ennis an Eisner Award for his Punisher stories.
I have seen some comments suggesting Tommy "Tiny" Lister and Michael Clarke Duncan as good choices to play Barracuda if they were alive. However, I think Michael Jai White would be a better casting, as he hasn't had many bad guy roles, would be highly competent in the action scenes, and is a good enough actor that could add some depth to the character.
@@godking Yes that's true if the studio took the approach to retcon the character which studios have shown willingness to do most recently with the Namor character in the Black Panther sequel, or they could use make-up prosthetics to alter the look as in the case of Colin Farrell to play Penguin in the most recent Batman movie which I think would be more interesting.
I'd argue Shaquille O'Neal would actually be perfect for the role because he is absolutely massive yet still naturally comes across as being friendly with his soft-spoken mannerisms and generally happy face, which would create a huge juxtaposition of him being this psycho merc while bringing out Baracuda's more jovial nature almost effortlessly. Shaq needs to redeem his acting career goddamnit...

Barracuda could overwhelm Captain America in a hand-to-hand fight just like Kingpin did. I think Barracuda could put Steve Rogers in trouble. It would be interesting to see this confrontation.
I also think that a (PG-13)rated cartoon show series of (THE PUNISHER) should be considered getting made. This way it could be possible to have a cartoon visual version of the villain (Barracuda) be shown in it.
