Michigan native here! Andy Capps hot fries are a favorite snack of mine since childhood! The queso dip is MUCH better warmed up, and with tortilla chips in my opinion! This video made me so happy to watch! Michigan is SO underrated in my opinion, especially the UP! Most people think of Detroit and the stereotype of it being a dangerous place to visit. Detroit has SO many amazing things to experience, from restaurants to museums.. there’s always something new to do downtown! And the UP is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Especially this time of the year with all of the leaves changing colors. Definitely a MUST visit state that should be on every travelers list!!

Totally agree!! I'm from Austria, but I was an Au Pair in Michigan from the last year. I absolutely had no idea how BEAUTIFUL Michigan is. I spent my first Au Pair Year in Virginia, close to Washington DC (loved this area as well). But then I decided to extend and I chose another family and landed in Michigan ❤ Sand dunes, light houses, fresh and clear water, amazing nature,.. that's all you can find in Michigan. Love to go back and visit my host family again after the pandemic is over/ not that dangerous any more.

Another awesome box packed with great treats! Fun fact, the Voortman cookies you ate are made in our hometown. The factory is not far from our house, and it's always great to drive by it and smell the cookies being made....always smells delicious!

Fudge brownie M&M's are my all time fav! Also the way they went round and round throwing out ideas about what they would mix the M&M's with had me dying because that is so me and my fiancé!

My chips(crisps) and dip combinations are:
Potato chips (plain chips) are french onion or herb and spice/garlic and herb
The dips for tortilla chips are:
salsa con queso, heated(cheese salsa,which you guys tried in this video) and 2 others that can be made , recipes included
1)Layer Cream cheese (Philadelphia brand type), chili (canned or homemade) and shredded cheese in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds or until the cheese is melted, then enjoy.
2) mix together sour cream, mayonnaise and cream cheese until smooth, spread evenly in a flat dish, top with salsa( mild, medium or hot based on your preference), shredded cheese, and diced red and green bell peppers. Enjoy

My husband and I use Doritos to tip into the Tostinos cheese dip, it’s beyond amazing! And they do have a mild dip, it’s my personal fav but the husband prefers the medium!

Love Tootsie Pop! I can’t say that tootsie rolls are wonderful but they are nostalgic. The lollipop candy tastes so good.
We thought it would be a nostalgia thing!
We grew up putting easy cheese on celery it’s so good! And celery has the opening in the middle so it’s the perfect place to put the cheese!

La Fiesta tortilla chips are a definite favorite of mine. ( I live in Hart where the Mexican restaurant is so I might be a bit biased. ) It is nice to see Michigan represented because it is often overlooked. Very nice box.

I love Fritoes Scoops. I pour them on a plate and cover with shredded, sharp cheddar cheese. I melt the cheese in the microwave and eat with salsa. One of my favorite snacks.

I'm originally from Michigan but lived in the south eastern part of the lower peninsula. so some of the stuff i have never had before. tostitos salsa con queso dip is my favorite, but i prefer it warmed up over the chips in the microwave

Just got home from visiting Michigan. We love spats bread, better made chips and butter pretzels found in small markets or supermarkets in bay city.
That was a great box. The best thing to me was the chips and dip. In fact, I'm eating chips and salsa now while watching you. The salsa us also from Tostitos as well as the chips. They were on sale at Target so you know gotta buy it. 😆 Have a good and safe week.

I've eaten David sunflower seeds all of my life, my mom grew up in Fresno. She ate them her whole life I prefer original and BBQ flavor David and sons sunflower seeds. There are several other flavors such as jalepeño Salsa, dill pickle, ranch salt and cracked pepper etc.
Believe it or not that is the exact way to taste chocolate! I’m a pastry chef and when learning about chocolates that’s how chocolatiers taste It!
The Fudge Brownie M&Ms are quite good. And I like the Caramel ones too, so the idea of mixing them sounds lovely. I still have bags of Espresso ones and Mint ones in my pantry.

Awesome Box...and even more awesome video...many of those are my favorites...I love spicy salsa and cheese dip...mix them together with a dollop of sour cream top off with green onions and you have a party dip...I would pop the tortilla chips in the microwave for a toasted flavor... delicious!!

My daughter and I are from Michigan and we just did a habenero challenge last weekend, we had to take a real bite, chew and swallow it and then we had a 2 minute after burn. It was quite intense, habenero's can be up to 350,000 scoville units. Good times. Lol

Oh and you must know that there are different flavors of Triscuit as well. My favorites are Gouda, cracked pepper and olive oil, Rosemary and olive oil and garlic. I hope you will be able to try the different flavors someday.

I don’t eat the pumpkin seed shells! I grew up 20 minutes away from the David’s plant. You can get the sunflower seeds without the shell and candy coated too 😋
I mix sour cream with Pace mild Picante sauce to dip my Fritos. Yum! I also crush Fritos, then dip pork chops in egg and the Frito before cooking. Delicious.

My husband grew up in Michigan. I see jiffy pop, ah my childhood is calling!
Jiffy pop is so awesome!!
Some Michigan things that I didn't see, but are still very common:
1: there is a pop (or soda) called Vernors. It's a ginger ale pop and our go-to drink for sick days. The company also makes a pop called Squirt.
2: Faygo is another pop that is extremely popular. It's like Crush, but better.
3: I know you can't send it, but we have some extremely good ice creams. We have Moose Tracks (ice cream with fudge and peanut butter cups), Mackinaw Island fudge (vanilla ice cream with Mackinaw Island fudge), Scooperman (like Neapolitan, but the flavors are all fruity), and Blue Moon (the blue ice cream in Scooperman).
4: We have a store called Meijer in Michigan. It's better than Walmart, but not as good as Aldi. Not a food, just a fact.
5: Mackinaw Island is known for its fudge. It's fantastic and perfect and everyone should have some. They also have really good taffy.
6: We eat ranch on everything. Fries, wings, pizza. Though this is a generalization, it's very common.
7: PEANUT M&MS IN POPCORN IS THE BEST THING EVER!!!

So a lot of baseball players will eat sunflower seeds. They can take a huge handful and put it in their mouth at one time and eat them. A positive about sunflower seeds is a lot of people who have an oral fixation and need to chew on things, eat sunflower seeds to curve that need. It also helps a lot of people be able to stop using chewing tobacco and helps people lose weight.
Dill pickle, bbq and ranch sunflower seeds are some of the most popular where I'm from. It's definitely a baseball game staple. 😀
Interesting that this was the first time anyone sent you Triscuits. They're in every grocery store in the U.S. I wonder what other really common things you haven't had. Wheat Thins? Ritz Crackers? Honey Maid Graham Crackers? Stoned Wheat Crackers?

Our favorite dip with chips is a French onion flavor from a brand called Heluva good dip. Spelled exactly like that. I pronounced it "Hell-oova" for the longest time till someone corrected me that it was pronounced "Hell of a " good dip. 😂

I personally love Fritos with sour cream and onion dip they also make Tostito scoops which are great with salsa! When we go to the movie I have to admit I run to the store and pick up my candy there and sneak it in, it’s way cheaper!! Obviously I still buy the popcorn and pop cause who can resist! The squirt cheese goes great on a ritz or Triscuit, but we melt some cheese on the triscuit and they are delicious that way! Great video!

Cheese and hot fries remind me of middle school/high school. I would get them as a snack for lunch!
For a "healthier" snack with the can cheese put it on celery sticks. Did that as I kid. The cold crunch goes well with the cheese.

You used the perfect dip (Queso) with the Fritos Scoops! My favorite! (but I use Mild - I don't do hot!) . Easy cheese is best on "Chicken in a Bisket" crackers (YUM!!) - Peanut Butter M&M's are my all time favorite, but Caramel is my second best :) Going to have to try those brownie flavor now! Thank you for your videos, I really enjoy watching you both!

Tostitos brand spinach dip is my current favorite. I dont like sunflower seeds but the trick is to put a hanful in your mouth suck oof the salt then crack the seed out and spit the shell out

Kate, if you find dark chocolate too bitter you should try it on a slice of bread. My brother usually don't like dark chocolate, but he loves it on bread (especially if it's homemade bread)🤩😍🤤
My favorite dip is this artichoke jalapeno dip from Trader Joe's. I've made it before and it is delicious.

Shout out to all Michiganders! I love the UP, it’s so amazing they are from Keewenaw area I go up there every year! There’s so many amazing things to see in the UP from rustic backwoods campgrounds with no electric or phone service (my favorite) beaches for rock picking, waterfalls and hiking trails, to more family friendly sites as well. If you love nature and reading maps the UP is for you! I LOVE HOW THE YOOPER BAR HAS THE COUNTIES! I’m a troll 😆 located right in the middle of the mitten!!!

The salsa con queso dip is even better if you warm it up !! Sunflower seeds were a big thing for baseball games! We used to put a handful in your mouth, suck the salt off and then kinda one by one crack em open with your teeth, spit out the shell and eat the seed !
