Should of shut it off, dragged it to shore, flushed it with fresh water, changed oil/dry the plugs, left the plugs out, and then let it dry out. If the motor sucks in water while running it can break stuff. It's much easier to fix if it's not running when it sinks!!
My old X2 650 had a valve at the bottom of the crank case. If it ever got water in it you would just pull the valve open and crank it until it tried to start. Then just close it and take off. I liked diving it under the water so it happened a lot.

Austin A it is way more then a pound when it is saturated with water bro! I replace mine with a closed cell foam when i installed my foot holds. It was nasty and complete soaked
empty ski mostly, pull plugs, hit start button for 2 minutes wnd then leave plugs off for 1 hr of hear, then pour little oil in each hole, run for a second, put plugs back, start it up, get back on the water
A jet ski regardless if a solo or sit down will never sink even with a hole in the hull there is a buoyant foam in the nose and handle pole yes the nose will go down first due to weight of the engine and water holds in the engine compartment but will never ever sink .

A SN is worth at the highest $2500 and the lowest $1500. But a used RN is not worth $4000 ,that's a god damn rip off ,And most used round noses for sale are usually years 1996 to about 2003. But still The RN has looked the same since 96 ,the only change that was done to the RN was in 2008 when Yamaha added molded in sponsions ,so honestly a used 2018 should be in the same price range. But still a used RN is not worth $4000 or higher. But square noses can be the biggest rip offs ,I have seen a square nose on CL for as high as $3500!!! That's a huge fucking rip off ,and it doesn't matter if it has aftermarket parts as well ,like I said above ,that's how much a SN is worth. But most of the time a SN is usually in the low and mid $2000s ,But I have seen them as low as the mid $1000s which is good.
Not that big of a deal. Just dump the water out, pull the plugs and run the motor till it spits out all the water in the cylinders. Reinstall the plugs and get back out there.
