A few things in the video I want to clarify. 1. Negative #8 1st Gear - In the video I said "even in manual", I meant "only" manual. I don't have the 1st gear clunkiness in automatic, though very occasionally I sometimes do. I just find it happening more in manual mode. 2. Negative #9 Automatic Trunk Open (Smart Trunk) - I was made aware I can turn this off in vehicle settings and I since then did. I just wanted to show it for the video as an example. 3. Lastly, I know a lot of the stuff I mentioned in the negatives are things Hyundai had to sacrifice for weight. At the end of the day, this car was built with track performance in mind. I went into this video with the mindset of driving this vehicle as a daily driver. Most of the negatives (until #6 and above) aren't "real" negatives to me, since they are amenities I'm willing to spare for power. Remember my negative may be someone else's positive, it's all opinion based. The car is AMAZING.
For the 1st gear clunkiness, just remember it's a DCT not a regular automatic, so it doesn't have a torque convertor. It just a computer operated manual so just like a manual 1st gear is just for taking off not a gear you want to stay in for a prolonged period of time. For it being a little more noticeable in manual mode that is because the throttle map changes between auto and manual mode. Get on the highway and cruise for a bit with your foot on the gas and then swap to manual mode. You will feel the change immediately. Really good video and pretty much on the money about everything lol. I can't stand the driver's window being the only one-touch either.
@@RoxUnlimited Wow, this was super insightful. I recently just learned that they aren’t the same thing a few weeks ago. I originally thought DCT was just the more “proper” term for an automatic transmission 😅. Been learning about cars since 2019 and still learning things.
I just picked up my 2025 Elantra N DCT the other day and i’ve only spent a little time with it but man is it a dream to drive. i’m coming from a 2012 ford escape so it’s a major upgrade. Performance blue is beautiful in person on the car too, couldn’t be happier
@@richardw63 An upgrade from a 13 year old car to brand new, I bet that felt amazing. Test drove in the blue, the videos online didn’t do it justice. It looks so good in person.

Funny enough I’ve owned mine for 2 1/2 years and just yesterday I got the interior LED light upgrade delivered.😅 The stock ambers never bothered me very much until we bought my wife’s Telluride and it has LEDs. Now it drives me crazy how yellow the stock ones are in my EN. I can’t wait to put them in!

Great video. Thanks for mentioning that jerkiness in first, saw your comment on it too. It's nice to have an owners perspective with some day to day things about the car.
Regarding the seats, I'm 5'9" 170lbs and I've had my 23 EN since August 2023. I've taken 2 1300 mile road trips in it so far and the seats were still comfortable after 10 or 11 hours straight. Absolutely love this car and I NEVER thought I'd buy or love a damn Hyundai lol
LMAO! I never would've thought I'd be enjoying one this much either. That's good to know, been wondering how this car would feel during those lengthy road trips.
I haven't taken trips that long but for several hours the seats are definitely still comfortable. Always wondered why some people have said they aren't.

Thw ratrles somewhere on the back of passengers is the setbelt rubbing in the door of front door passenger try to lockit up even though no one sitting og front
Regarding the rattle and creak issues i think the quality control for interior assembly is questionable. Some cars are plain worse than others which points to somebody at the factory knows what they're doing and others not so much. I wish Hyundai would have left the exterior design alone and spent that money elsewhere. Particularly interior sound deadening to combat the rattle issues. Additionally a functional hood vent for cooling would have been dope and yes cooled seats are a must. That's all the car needed. The so-called "face lift" stuff was unnecessary. I highly recommend a set of reasonably priced 18" cast alloy wheels. The taller tires will reduce the transmission of vibration and small impacts to the car significantly.
Agreed. It's clear that the interior quality was not a big focus for this car, even though that's where everyone will be seated... I like the face-lift but other than exterior, there isn't many note worthy differences between the 22-23. I've actually already put on some 18 inch wheels on the car. Much smoother ride now.
Also it’s come electric seats optional The reason for bucket seats is lighter weight For me I went with the leather seats because it’s more comfortable for daily use and highway + it can have memory seats and electric move

I agree with some of your negatives. Some I don't. Agreed: Yes, it needs ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, all four automatic windows down and up, and handle for the trunk. But concern is those will make the car price go up. And those features should offered as options because some enthusiasts ok with not having those features. Disagree: yes, the automatic trunk open is annoying because my 2020 kia forte gt does have the feature as a standard. But I figured the feature is useful especially when things are held by both hands. To make this feature better, hyundai/kia should figure out the other methods such as for Ford and Tesla, what you have to do is swing your foot underneath the rear end bumper. Fun fact: most none luxury cars don't have four all windows automatic up and down features. Most of those cars only have driver side automatic window up and down. And very often some none luxury cars don't have driver side automatic window up and down, or automatic down only.
Couldn't imagine getting a car for luxury and not having all windows automatic. Swinging your foot underneath to open the trunk I actually like more, since I'd feel like I have more control of the initial open.
Exterior wise, I'll customize, but I'll most likely be keeping the internals stock for awhile. The only "upgrades" I want to do right now is add an intake for the sound, lower engine mount bushings, and springs. I'm pretty happy with how the car performs for what it is.
