dual- range was for the later case tractors with eagle hitch, all they did put another gear shift in it, one for high and low range, other side had 4 gear shift, then you could shift faster, threw your 8 speed, you order it with case o matic or with out when new, good job putting Back together!
I had to put new friction plates in my 730. You could open the throttle and start off and in about 10 minutes you were back to half throttle. Love those 30 series J I Case tractors!!
We have a homemade wood stove made out of a 275 gallon home heating oil tank. It’s a 40 bye 60 concrete floor no insulation steel building. When we plan a project we light the stove the day before and in the morning its 60/65 when its 20 out side. Maybe a little barrel stove would help you but it’s another chore to ad to the rest but you have some heat. Thanks for the Great videos!
I might try that, I was thinking about doing that, but wasn't sure if it would work. I'm also hoping to run lines to my wood boiler, for heat, and just eliminate the stove in the garage.
On those oil bath cleaners I found I have to take them off the tractor and soak the screens in parts cleaner. most are welded in so I turn them upside down and plug the inlet so they hose the cleaner. after soaking 24hrs I drain them out and use my pressure washer to blow the dirt and debris out. makes a huge difference!
My 630 Case does that sometimes too. I never dug into it yet but now I know what probably is going on. One can never thank the neighbors enough for the help. Hopefully you can get that 530 going again eventually. I like how you operate.
Yeah, I've been using that 530 on the wood splitter, but I need to get it in the shop for a clutch and I need a steering cylinder for it, it has a 530 industrial front axle on it, so if you come across a steering cylinder for one, let me know.
@@trinitydairy I put a call out to my brother that lives close to you. He worked for Case International in Rice Lake for years. I'm hoping he might have some ideas as to where to look too.

Awesome video Alan! Really enjoyed the repair on the tank situation!! Sounds like you got really lucky with the salvage tank as well!! How hard was it to get the cab off? I think I heard you say something about the cab, can't remember if both have cabs or not 🤦🤦 Those LEDs are amazing going back in the factory places!! Looking fwd to the bearing on the mixer repair as well!! Thank you very much for bringing us along!! Looking fwd to more!! 👍😁
my fuel gauge is a stick!! nothing wrong with farmer fix, I do it all the time! My JD has an oil bath air cleaner, but you can't tale the screen out of it!
Alan and Jennifer, I don't know who to ask about this question. I was wondering whether you receive credit for your video if it's on TV or if it's on computer? I know if I want to comment I must do it on the computer. And for three months I only viewed your videos on TV and two weeks on the computer. And I was wondering about the horse power on the 830 Case.? I really love all the videos. Thank you, Skip Ruckert
Basically instead of a clutch, they have a torque converter, in front of a standard transmission, and it has a lever to lock and unlock the converter, when it's unlocked, it operates similar to a automatic transmission in a car, you can let the clutch pedal out, and give it throttle, to start it moving, once you're going, you can lock it into direct drive, and if it starts to power out, you can put it back into case o matic drive, on the go, and it will let the engine speed back up. It is also very nice for a loader , because it can be ran with the throttle, like a automatic transmission.
What was the difference between the dual range and case o matic transmission? What brand are the led lights you got? I need to replace the factory lights on my 1070.
The dual range is a standard clutch and transmission, but the case o matic, uses a torque converter, in place of the clutch, so when the transmission is in gear, it can be ran with the throttle, like a automatic transmission, or the converter can be locked, so it is in direct drive. I'll get you the link for those lights.
Interesting... Tractordata never even tested the Case 830. In made from 1960 to 1969 it was was 66 horse power and cost $6,000; you could have gotten an 82 horsepower John Deere 4010 for the same price. It is no wonder that is when John Deere took over the market.
Great job replacing the fuel Alan
The 830 that I drove on dads farm I found is at my brother's house in Indiana l need to get to FL thanks for sharing
Good job, Alan! I’m gonna call you when I have something I need done on my Super M or 400! 😉
Good job keeping that old iron in tip top shape. It's a good feeling to hear it running. Can't beat equipment that keep going.

Got it almost ready to go in the field, whenever it warms up.👍

I would like to get a good stove, but first I need to get an insulated door on the front.
@@trinitydairy it wouldn’t be perfect I know, could you use foam board insulation on the current door? I’ve seen that done a couple times.

Nice repair ! Thanks for the great videos! 🐄
Our Case 930 had the fuel tank behind the seat. Held approximately 50 gallons. Have a great day!!

Tommy said steering cylinder aren't too bad to rebuild unless you need a new rod, they can get pricey.

Yeah, we get credit for videos either way. The 830 case is around 65hp
75 hp gain? U better put some weights on the front to hold her down
How do those caseomatic transmissions work? Are they kind of a power shift? My neibor had a 800 caseomatic but never asked him how it worked

Did you buy both your 830 cases together
No, the one my grandpa bought many years ago from a neighbor, and I bought the other one from a different neighbor.
Hi Alan, what salvage yard do you go to? I'm up in Esko and have been looking for some remote parts for my Case DX.
Jensen Tractor in Askov
👌
What kind off led headlights did you end up getting?
I'd have to look at the box for the brand, but they are an LED replacement bulb for the factory housing.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't a factory cab. I lifted it off with the skid steer and had my Father in law help.
