- Learn to give an exciting loud grito (Mexican yell) like a true mariachi... or like Miguel in the movie "Coco." Members of the all-female mariachi group Flor de Toloache in this video give a brief lesson on how to give a great grito. The gritos taught here are: The Classic, The Burner, and The Scared One. You'll laugh. You'll relieve stress. You'll be ready for the next quinceañera.

@@vsedai so update...I did keep trying. It only took about one day. I practiced on my way to and from work one day. I totes did it and I feel so great about it!!!
@@victordemarco01 I learned it when I was living early 80s in New Mexico. I heard it at a bar and I was enchanted. I always drag out the spaces between my ending ha..ha...ha. Hella fun. Stay safe.

So while in Florida near Disney, I did this during a local
restaurant's variety show.
It seemed appropriate as there was a Mariachi section. The performer didn't seem to thrilled. I felt bad; like he thought I was heckling. 🇵🇦

I would do this with my Uncles after taking a shot with them all the time it’d be so fun and it was like expressing ourselves letting everything out with one yell

Cultural appropriation is an idea spread by neo-segregationists.
Cultures have spread and evolved through people who want to emulate them out of appreciation.
So doing the grito wouldn't be appropriation, it would be appreciation.
