I personally own an OCD and use it to as a boost which it does phenomenally. Listening to this comparison. The ODD does seem to push high end more. As a stand alone overdrive I think the ODD would be good to use.
Got my ODD coming this week. Purely based on fact that the line 6 helix OCD version has been my main always on drive for years. Now seeing this I hope it’s not too driver as I love the bouncy dynamic feeling of OCD (well HX version anyways)
I think there is a significant problem in this video: the warm audio odd is based on OCD version 1.4. You, on the other hand, are making a comparison with version 1.3 and they are very different. Version 1.3 has much more midrange, more volume and more gain than version 1.4. You should get an ocd 1.4 version.
Thanks for your feedback. That was the OCD that we had and one of the most common, so for many people that is the OCD sound they know. Testing against what Warm was trying to get closest to would be another approach to this for sure. Hopefully the basic reference point is helpful to the typical consumer wanting to answer the question on how this compares to classic OCD family versus a single version. Today the most common is V1.7 followed closely by V1.4. However, on the Warm Audio website it is specified that with their odd pedal they refer to version 1.4 which, I repeat, is completely different from v1.3...It's like trying to compare a boss sd-1 (ocd version 1.3) to a boss bd -2 (ocd version 1.4) . Of course it was just to give an example.

How many volts power you used?
It works with a 9-Volt Battery Or External 9 or 18 volt. We like giving it 18 volts.

ODD box is the only pedal i can get to work with my dark/muddy sounding Gibson CS-336. Its a lifesaver for humbuckers. Never liked it for single coils
