I think you may have a defective unit. Have you tried contacting their support? I get 8-9hrs battery on mine, there is no audio delay on any platform and the touch controls are much more responsive than what is shown in the video. I can also wear them for 5hrs+ without any discomfort. Very thorough review, but I've had a different experience.

They literally look like headphones without the band. It's not that different from normal ones. Why is every body acting as if that's not how it looks with about any other headphones other than ear bugs.....

These headphones where supposed to be my “upgrade” from galaxy pods. They are clunky have a horrible seal sound worse and are uncomfortable after an hour.
Couldn’t agree more. Beta customer, provided a ton of feedback and was incredibly hopeful and excited for the team. My Bose and old Beats just blow these out of the water. If you want a pair, let me know, can’t let myself throw them away so they’re just taking up space in a drawer.

Would you consider the idea that you had faulty headphones? I have watched and read a few other reviews that say these are good but dont know if they have been sponsored. Would you try returning them or contacting human to get a different pair to see if there are different results? I really wanted to try these and probably will (theres a 30 day return policy). A TH-cam poll asking people if they like them would be nice as well
I've purchased them using free money I got from my boss so I'm unbiased. I've had some interesting experiences with them so far. I like the concept and really want to see these guys succeed. I wrote a large support email because I was concerned about their performance and they completely dodged that question. I get severe rumbling and rattling in one headphone compared to the other and really cannot go above 3/4 volume safely. I asked about a replacement and no response yet. I will be refunding them sadly if they continue to misbehave, but my thinking is they made a good product and then realized how expensive it actually is to produce.

It's funny, I designed something almost identical to this 20+ years ago, although it was a single unit phone for one ear, for my then degree in industrial design. I since became a graphic designer instead but often thought about this over-ear, twist on concept as a nice 'third way' to do headphones so it's dissappointing to hear it's not working out for this company. Hopefully they evolve the product somewhat, maybe add bone conduction for the bass, along with other smaller speakers for a surround sound effect. Seems redundant to have memory foam, rather than a polyester filling, as there's no weight on that part of the ear and it is such a dense material it will reduce sound quality markedly. They also need to put the fulcrum of the weight on the base of the ear, rather than on the rim and they definitely shouldn't be gripping the ear with a spring. I feel like they've got a good idea for a product but that they've made it without even talking to (or perhaps ignoring the advice from)an industrial/product designer who could have fixed most of the problems the product has, in a few minutes, before even making a prototype.

For the past two years they have released new ones during IFA in Germany. So if that continues, the XM4s should be announced in around 2 weeks! I’m also waiting for the XM4s for Bluetooth 5.0 and multi device connections
Worrying about which reviews are legitimate is a bad idea in the end these aren’t supposed to be your final decision maker just something to give some insight. If the price for a product is so high to the point where buying them and then returning when you realize they aren’t for you would break your bank then either don’t buy them or see if the product gains popularity around you locally

Well to me it looks like he just points out obvious flaws that other (sponsored) channels don't mention. Unbox therapy for example is clearly sponsored and won't give these a bad review. Headphones that don't seal your ear canal are not going to isolate you from external noise the way over ear or in ear headphones do, not by a long shot. You don't hear unbox therapy about that issue, they only say it sounds better than earpods, even my $10 aliexpress earbuds sound better than earpods so that's not a good reference. You watch reviews for the opinion of the reviewer, gymcaddy gives his unsalted, unbiased and unsponsored opinion, personally, I appreciate that a lot.

The speaker sounds distorted and it seems to have tonnes of noise leak from what I can tell through the video. If Urs has neither of these issues, it might seem as if he received a faulty unit, but I highly doubt that. I was interested so my wife bought them for me. She paid roughly $200 at the time. I have a pair of nice noise canceling Sennheiser's but they're not ideal when in the workplace or in an area where hearing ambient noise is needed. I'm confused with this review and as to why he's comparing them to noise canceling headphones just because the price ranges are similar? From what I saw online they weren't advertised as such. I agree that they're far reaching in regards to what they wanted to accomplish. They're definitely ahead of their time and needs better implementation. The price is the cost of something new/cutting edge. Also, I didn't experience any of the issues he mentioned as far as disconnects, hissing, etc. Lastly, I'm older so I'm not sitting around blasting music all day like a lot of the younger people I've seen. I use them for phone calls, some music and some TH-cam videos, but that's about it. They're not my main earphones but then again I don't use earphones that much, not anywhere near like I see people nowadays constantly with earpods or earbuds in their ear where I've gotta scream/ yell/ jump around waiving just to get their attention.

Do not buy for sound quality, comfort, batter life or price.. none of those priorities are good reasons. I got mine for just $100. I only grab these when I’m running out of the house, throw them in my purse as alternative back up to my Live Beans and Earpods. Thanfully I almost never need them. Even $100 is a regret purchase. The only thing I like is they dont build up moisture as much as buds do.
Can't believe Lew said these changed the game when most of team including the ceo left the team shortly after this product was released and than lowered the price to save some face. Sounded way better than airpods is a low bar since the airpods 1 or 2 sound bad and these are just garbage. Not to mention the koss ksc75 does the same no handband design way better sounds amazing and their only 15 bucks.
Got my pair. Tried them out for a week. Not worth it; not even for $260. They make you look foolish. I would use them if the sound quality was worth looking like I have "Princess Leia's buns". App doesn't connect to the headset nor do I even use the features. Speaker mode is buns unless using it for a call or translation but only works if you have it docked (at least that's how I activated it because the app wouldn't connect). Oh and on a call, the person on the other end sounds like they're 2 miles away. Even my $180 PS4 Platinum wireless headphones and $100 Wearhaus Arcs are better than these. Should be priced at >$120. Having buyer's remorse.
Ceebo66 well I’ve had mine for four days and I disagree with this review except on the desktop speaker part (but let’s get real, no other headphones act as a Bluetooth speaker so them having a slightly better quality than my iPhone loudspeaker is acceptable). These have been refined for over three years before hitting the market, and Microsoft invested something like $23 million in the company. I think this review is biased because right in the description he lists a handful of Amazon affiliate links for other headphones. Anyway, my honest review is they are way better than my AirPods, and I prefer them over my $400 Bose headphones that make my ears sweat.

I agree that they're far reaching in regards to what they wanted to accomplish. They're definitely ahead of their time and needs better implementation. The price is the cost of something new/cutting edge. Also, I didn't experience any of the issues he mentioned as far as disconnects, hissing, etc. Lastly, I'm older so I'm not sitting around blasting music all day like a lot of the younger people I've seen. I use them for phone calls, some music and some TH-cam videos, but that's about it. They're not my main earphones but then again I don't use earphones that much, not anywhere near like I see people nowadays constantly with earpods or earbuds in their ear where I've gotta scream/ yell/ jump around waiving just to get their attention.

GYMCADDY Yea caddy they were announced 2 and a half years ago, but released to the main general class public recently..
Do not buy for sound quality, comfort, batter life or price.. none of those priorities are good reasons.
I got mine for just $100. I only grab these when I’m running out of the house, throw them in my purse as alternative back up to my Live Beans and Earpods. Thanfully I almost never need them. Even $100 is a regret purchase. The only thing I like is they dont build up moisture as much as buds do.
Can't believe Lew said these changed the game when most of team including the ceo left the team shortly after this product was released and than lowered the price to save some face. Sounded way better than airpods is a low bar since the airpods 1 or 2 sound bad and these are just garbage. Not to mention the koss ksc75 does the same no handband design way better sounds amazing and their only 15 bucks.
Sound quality is the most important thing to me, so ew. Also they look like some kind of ear cast or winter ear muffs

What a shame : ( I was looking forward to these from 2015.
Got my pair. Tried them out for a week. Not worth it; not even for $260. They make you look foolish. I would use them if the sound quality was worth looking like I have "Princess Leia's buns". App doesn't connect to the headset nor do I even use the features. Speaker mode is buns unless using it for a call or translation but only works if you have it docked (at least that's how I activated it because the app wouldn't connect). Oh and on a call, the person on the other end sounds like they're 2 miles away.
Even my $180 PS4 Platinum wireless headphones and $100 Wearhaus Arcs are better than these. Should be priced at >$120. Having buyer's remorse.

Ceebo66 well I’ve had mine for four days and I disagree with this review except on the desktop speaker part (but let’s get real, no other headphones act as a Bluetooth speaker so them having a slightly better quality than my iPhone loudspeaker is acceptable). These have been refined for over three years before hitting the market, and Microsoft invested something like $23 million in the company. I think this review is biased because right in the description he lists a handful of Amazon affiliate links for other headphones. Anyway, my honest review is they are way better than my AirPods, and I prefer them over my $400 Bose headphones that make my ears sweat.
