    Great video!! Thanks! So as a beginner like myself is this a hard thing to do changing the diff oils? Looks a little intimidating

      nah once the first time is the hardest and i recommend doing one at a time. Traxxas also has some great exploded views on there site

    Do you think that the Maxx could use shimming for the rear diff? So far I only blew one rear

    • @Speedracer50
      @Speedracer50  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      we have had our for over a year and abused the crap out of it and haven't had any issues with the diffs....other than the fluid change they are all stock

    At around the 40min mark you hand turn your center diff and its making a loud gear noise, is that normal? Mine does that while driving if I go back and forth. Just got my maxx.

    • @Speedracer50
      @Speedracer50  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      what you are hearing is not gear noise but the motor being spun and it is normal.

  • @johng1941

    My maxx veers to the left slightly on throttle does yours do the same? I’m running 100k in the front and rear and 20 million in the center. If not what do you think it could be? All the bearings are smooth and It feels like it changes trim.

    • @Speedracer50
      @Speedracer50  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      first thing i would do it to take off slowly on a flat smooth service ans see if it is doing it then if so can you trim it out? we had had some issues with lug nuts coming loose and cause an issue like this. on a WOT take off it can cause a pull to one side or the other it just depends on how much traction each tire is getting. Also you might try turning multi-function knob to zero and see if that helps, it might be trying to over-correct.

    • @johng1941
      @johng1941 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Speedracer 50 The trim is perfect and even with the multifunction knob at zero it still veers. Maybe I am a bit heavy on the take offs I’ll do more testing and let you know how it goes.

    What benefit does this give please?

    • @Speedracer50
      @Speedracer50  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      locking up the center diff gives more power to the rear wheels when you are doing a wheelie, the thicker fluid in the front and rear diffs helps keep the power equally distributed between the left and right side and will help with it rolling over as much. the thicker the fluid is in the front diff the harder it is to turn, in race car terms the thicker the font diff fluid the more it will want to push in the turns.
