- This video is all about the Image quality comparison Between Nikon 200-500mm lens vsTamron 150-600mm G2 Lens in Hindi. For this Comparison we used Same Camera , approx same settings and the distance between the camera and subjects was almost same .each time I have choose only the sharpest images from a series of shots of both lens .

Thank you for this comparison! Many people mentioned the quality range of both lenses. It means, that you can get a very good one or a bad on of both. Seems to be like gambling...In your case the Tamron is very good in sharpness.

I just want to add in a point. The sharpness in the lower end of the tail in the blue tailed bee eater can be due to the 600mm length of Tamron because, the increased Focal Length adds in to a shallower depth of field.

My thoughts,
How autofocus handle photo sharpness. You should include some photos of non moving objects.
5.6 aperture is plus for Nikon whereas tamaron has extra reach.
Price online around 80k for Nikon and 105k for tamaron (20k-30k price difference).
It's kind of tough battle. I would go for Nikon I guess because overall we can't see significant difference b/w two.
I would buy a Nikon 500mm and save some money and buy a macro lens.

You should try to compare as close to the same FLs as possible to give the best, most fair, comparison. Comparing 500mm on the 200-500 and 600 on the 150-600 isn't exactly an apples-to-apples comparison. Yes it does show you how they perform at their maximum FL, but then compare ath the same FLs, say maybe every 100mm (so 200, 300, 400, 500 on both).
Overall, the 150-600 G2 does seem to hold its own against the 200-500. The only thing about the Tamron (and maybe it's not the lens specifically) but it seems that even at similar settings (aperture, shutter speed, etc) it seems there must be a lot of light loss (perhaps almost 1/2-stop) over the 200-500 as all the Tamron images seem under exposed by about 1/3 or 1/2 stop. This obviously can be adjusted once you can figure out a good "adjustment" to make when you shoot with the lens. For example, I have found my Fuji's tend to under expose in general by about 1/3 of a stop, so I always add about 1/3 of a stop to my "correct" exposure per the light meter and images thus look properly exposed on the computer when I download them.
I will say the bokeh on the 150-600 is more pleasing wide open, but this also likely do to it being 100mm longer, despite only being about 1/3 stop slower, so you get slightly nicer background separation. But so far, looking good for the 150-600. Price, obviously isn't a concern as both are similar in price.

Not as good as native Z 180-600 or anywhere near as good as 100-400.. the Nikon Z glasses are a cut above Tamron lenses like the Z150-500

Both of the lens are very good. Tamron is slightly better in sharpness and better in build quality. Nikon is better in bokeh and ghosting. I will prefer Nikon.
Ghosting /flaring is a serious issue of Nikon 200-500mm, specially in backlight situation as it hasn't nano crystal coat like premium Nikkor lens. Except that every thing is good.

These lenses are used for wildlife photography in most cases. You can either go for a 50mm 1.8, 85mm 1.8 or the best of the list 70-200 f2.8!

Overall the 200-500mm good with d7500
Eagerly waiting for the VR/VC test, could be a deciding factor while handholding. Image quality is better in Nikon in close distance and better in tamron with far subjects. Tamron seemed a better overall lens in terms of Image Quality especially when you can't get too close to your subjects.
Does the chromatic aberration on Tamron get fixed with one click on Lightroom and Photoshop or, more work needs to be done in Photoshop to fix it ?
And please can you tell how far lower shutter speed can you go with the Tamron handholding and get a decent sharp shot ?
The Sigma Contemporary might be sharper than the Tamron G2 and better OS too since you can change the OS/Image stabilisation in Sigma Dock. If possible check that out too.

I ask myself the same question. The Tamron is lighter, weather resistant, got Arca Swiss and 100mm more focal length. Here in Germany the Tamron (1000€) is cheaper than the Nikon (1250€). I would go for the Tamron for my D750. I own the Tamron Tap-in Console, so I can adjust the lens.

Wish Tamron made this lens for Z mount cams.. they have 150-500 in a similar focal range but its more expensive and its not as good as the slightly more expensive z180-600..
Right now Im testing the Tamron 150-500mm z mount . It is not expensive than Nikon 180-600mm. and really compact and light weight .

Mera 200-500 4 saal ka ho gaya hain lekin itna dull photos kabhi nehi ata hain, tamron 150-600 g2 is a very good lens but tumne jo dikhaye isse to lagta hain, tumhare 200-500 me kuch kharabi hain.
