It's hard to accept as a human rational being: people only worry for what they consider closer to them, when they feel threatened... - People are rejecting refugees because they feel threatened by them, because they fear their style of life might change because of them... But when it happened to them, they would expect other countries to accept them and protect them under the Universal Charter of Human Rights... Because hypocrisy is a way of life: this needs to change.

Let me tell you something. Before the Syrian war, in Bulgaria (EU) there were no manifestations of radical religious ethnic groups. Despite the fact that the half of the Syrians are Christians, in our country entered mostly Muslims, and not only Syrians!!! Among them arrived Muslims from many African and Middle East countries, through Turkey. Personally I don't mind Muslims, especially those who are... Let's say native. Along with Muslims from Syria and other countries, here arrived some radical people and a few of them started wearing t-shirts with pictures and signs of Islamic State! Soon after, they gathered together in larger groups and started making some "rituals" teaching their youths how to cut other children's throats using wooden sabers for the "ritual". While the men who were teaching them sang songs for jihad... They started making manifestations on main streets of some towns populated mostly by native peaceful Muslims. It's really, really disturbing, even to those native people, regardless of their religion. I'm not saying we shouldn't help the Syrians or any people in need. And yet, that's the easiest way for terrorists to come over here in Europe. It's getting more and more serious as a threat, and the EU governments seem not to be concerned enough to stop them before they enter the Union. They start the prevention when these terrorists are already here. It's going to be too late, when they start killing people. If there's a war going on in my country, I won't go in China or USA to escape, I'd go to the nearest country and wait there till the end of the conflict, for example. So why are Syrians leaving Syria and trying to get to Germany or other EU countries? Why mostly Muslims from many different countries are coming here? Countries where's no war at the moment. Why? How do they have money to travel through Middle East and Europe? Dammit, I don't have money to go to Germany!!!!! Everything is set up, and it's even worse that peaceful Syrians are being used as a cover up. We want to live in peace and help each other, not to help the terrorists, you stupid governments and sht. I don't want these Muslims cheering for Islamic State and jihad in my street, my town, my country, nor in this fcking world!!!!!!!! I don't want to see Christian terrorists either, so stfu in advance, thank you!

well yeah some jihadist so called muslims are wreking islam!
and those people also harm peaceful muslims and here I answer your question why don't syrians go as refugies in the nearst contries?
well let's see, Saoudia! this saoudian dynasty support wahabisme who are totally extermists and some of them hate the prophet himself .
they are brainwashing other muslims who come to do piligrimage! sometimes even beating those who disagree with them !
now they're trying to take over muslims schools and they want only their so called islam to be taught ,
so syria is more safe than saoudia and the golf's contries!
all other muslims are being attacked by those extremists , and it's those peaceful muslims who get the blame because the extremists are supported by saoudia wich is supported by USA.
isis or al qua'idais just a crazy alien organisation , it has been nourished by the extremism ( ben laden was a soudian prince!)
so don't fight isis, let's fight those who sponsor isis

April 22, 2020. What if Manhattan DIDN'T actually look like this? =(

It didn't. You still had the most abused workers forced to risk their lives at their "essential" jobs (while then being refused inflationary raise adjustments during such high-cost periods).

@@johnmidwest5650 Agreed. Lest we forget. Actually, my mother worked at a nursing home and when I ended up having to move home about a month after this comment because my lease broke, I ended up seeing the psychological toll of that very close up in my own family. :(
