At least in Battletech, I have a design I simply dubbed the saw. Four Ultra/2s 6t ammo), 4 Medium Laser, 4 SRM 4 (2t ammo) and a mixture of exchangers, double and single HS to keep it as cool as possible.
Im already planning to swap the BSK-6's XL for a light engine, replace all the AC2 with Light AC2s to compromise, and either ERPPC or lasers depending on what tonnage is left.
I think a good portion of what you're thinking is side torso hitboxes might actually be arm hitbox instead. It's got those big long horizontal upper arm actuators sitting under the missile pods. Could go either way, though.
Bullshark is a great mech. I remember it from the Roguetech. It had a modification with some insane slot distribution to let you run pretty much any wet fantasy you can conjure. I still prefer stalker due to insane hitbox and good selection of modifications
Personally I don't like forcing non-canon content when there are still many famous canon mechs are on the list and missing from the game. Otherwise it was a cool mech on Battletech, and its introduction as a lost new tech of Clan Wolverine was clever.
I think it may have been easier to implement to the game as there was already a 3d model of it avaiable, instead of making other chassis from scratch. Guess they just had to communicate with HBS for a permit to use the Bullshark.
@@Norion84 good point! As I mentioned I liked it in BT game, but as a tabletop BT geek from the 80s 90s I still miss some legendary canon mechs like the Emperor, or the Mackie if we are talking about assaults but lights, meds and heavies too. Argus, Grizzly,Linebacker, Thug etc.
Oooor you could do MRM 200. A 30 and a 40 in each side torso and a couple of MRM 30s in the arms. So yeah this thing could replace my MRM 140 Mean Baby as my favorite guilty pleasure.
Your casual drop of the word "Placoidschuppe" just sent me down another Wikipedia rabbit hole. Thanks for that, was quite an interesting side track. :)
why aren't any of the IS mechs coming with light engines instead of xl? unless its quirked out the ying yang xl engines just don't make sense after the release of light engines.

It's a Clan Wolverine 'mech. The remnants of Clan Wolverine ran back to the IS long before the invasion because the other Clans were trying to genocide them, and seemingly dispersed into the rest of the population (the details are one of the fandom's big mysteries). So it's sort of a clan 'mech, but also sort of an IS one. Especially since the thing with the Wolverines happened near the start of Clan society as such, so most of their tech advances hadn't been developed yet.
@@jadekaiser7840 Unless that mission is in the Umayyad Caliphate, then it's not a Wolverine mech. Even the game it's from only implies that it's a Wolverine design, and isn't canon (like the Roughneck)

@@SquishyFletcher The only lore we have on it is that apocryphal lore. Until such time as they give it an official, alternate backstory, that's the backstory it has. MWO isn't exactly focused on lore accuracy anyways, you know? Or else it wouldn't be here at all.

The impossible mech, a mech whos tonage dosent include its thumper gun… just so pthetic that hairbrianed schemes put this thing in. I meen it looks ok…. But you know its legacy sucks.
The Mako is pretty close to the unique Bullshark you got as part of a campaign in HBS Battletech. I love it.
Can't wait for this thing. It's one of the coolest battlemech designs out there, imo.
bsk-5 ac20 x 2 and snppc x 3 with no ghost heat... its a legal chadoken

light ac2s are kinda in bad spot as they only 1 ton less then light ac5 but same range as those.
video idea for TTB: list all IS mechs that are friendly to XL, and the not so friendly .

I see MRM boat I buy and I pew pew
I'd be curious to see if they can introduce a mech mortar (balanced somehow) for a Bullshark Legend variant

HBSTECH FANS ARE EATING GOOD TONIGHT
3x snub ppc and 2x ultra ac 20 on the bsk-5? I haven't mathed out the tonnage yet though.
I really wish I could justify spending the money right now, cos man this mech is cool
I'm excited. It looks cutely chubby strong. Thank you for the video
Getting the Mako just because I've been wanting to play DVA again, without supporting Blizzard. Closest I can see myself getting in MWO lol

Hands dosen't seems that good: very wide, relatively low mounted, no lower actuators. Torso hardpoints would be much more effective.
