To save you guys some time listening to clickbait bullsh*t from the video, here's a quick summary:
1. Golden Fast Travel Pack - Has unlimited uses. Can be purchased from merchants outside Daytower.
2. Tearblaster - Helps remove machine components and armour to expose weak points.
3. Shield-Weaver outfit - Highly durable outfit that absorbs impact but has to recharge once the shield is depleted. (Requires 5 Power Cells that are not missable and can be obtained within the main storyline or any point after that)
4. Sylen's Lance - Upgraded lance that deals shock damage. Can be modded within The Frozen Wilds.
5. Lodge Weapons - Upgraded Ropecaster, Blast Sling and War Bow with higher stats. No cost, but obtained altogether by earning 15 Blazing Suns at the Hunting Grounds.

How to access side quests?
Tearblast arrows are far better than the tearblaster. However, on ultra hard elemental arrows are half as effective making the tearblaster more viable on ultra hard

I got the shield weaver Armour without the guide. I'm a naturally curious person, I love Easter eggs, and so it's within me to search and explore all crevices of the game. I found the Armour first then went for the power cells.
For all of those that do not know. After a bit of testing with a save game editor, you have to collect all the power cells to get the armor. If you just put the power cells in your inventory the game will not let you collect the armor. Each cell is tied to the quest so if you try to skip them you will pick up the armor but it won't give it to you.
Really? I just glitched my way to the power cells and got the armor without no problem. No quest selected.

@@TheFoundBeliever some have already finished the game, some just want a light experience. I’m not using anything, I enjoy being immersed and still haven’t used a fast travel pack. But I can appreciate there’s many ways to play.
I just got mine a few days ago. I followed the glitch at level 10, got all the power cells and was able to get the suit. I just noticed that under quest, its says completed but there’s an x instead of a checkmark on the last task which is to get the legendary armour. Anyway, I got what I need so no need to worry :)

Am surprised nobody has noticed a hidden detail during the fight with Behemoth at the arena after being captured by Helis and you had to retrieve your gear by making the behemoth destroy the pillars. After retrieving your weapons, equip the tripcaster and set lots of traps in the arena especially the middle of the arena. Kill the behemoth but leave some of the traps which carry on into the cutscene. Sylens comes to rescue Aloy and his overriden mounts jumps over your traps while the enemy robots and the corruptors gets blown up by your traps.
You’re surprised that isn’t well known? That takes a lot of precise things to happen to even see it 😂

@@ahkao.9347 true. I was blown away though. Aloys trap carry on into cutscenes and her overriden mounts jumps over the traps while the traps does damage to the Corruptors. All within the cutscenes of Aloy and Sylens escaping the arena

No, the tearblaster gets rid of the outer armour so you can cause more damage and plus you recieve more XP by breaking them apart plus saves you using metal shards. Thus saving arrows!
Yeah, no. I really like to engage machines in close combat ( spear/tearblaster/fast handling on bows) so it depends on the style [except daemonic machines, fuck them, fuck the banuk fuck the frozen wilds and fuck guerilla games( in a good way). Corrupted machines are a fucking dream compared to daemonic, like I'd rather take on a free roaming deathbringer (even tho they don't exist but I wish they did) than a fireclaw or two scorchers].

The golden travel pack is a shop item, the weapons and shield weave are rewards from obvious side missions. How are any of these "secret"? The lance is part of the friggin story mission!

A couple lodge weapons are still inferior to their frozen wilds versions and so are some of the outfits from there. The shield weaver isn't even that great when the difficulty is hard or ultra hard. It only gives you shield for one hit and the next is damage to aloy. I sometimes switch to the one from frozen wilds that builds the health back up and then after switch back to the shield weaver just to have that one bonus hit before taking damage or an armor that's designed to protect from various things.
Obviously. FW came almost a year later than the main game, and gave players an increased challenge since most would be OP at that point.
There are a few more special weapons and upgrades in The Frozen Wilds -- including the equivalent of a single-shot anti-tank rifle (!). They all work in the regular game after you get them and return to the regular game. Fantastic!
When you say anti tank rife do you mean the shadow bow that has high damage?(cant remember it’s name-haven’t played for a while)(just curious)
There are no "secret items" in the game except for MAYBE you could argue the bonus Focus / facepaints, but even these are explained in-game.

@@BirdDinosaur I really can't think of any, other than maybe the power cell locations as while their existence is certainly made clear, their actual locations are ridiculously hard to find without looking them up.
This was the only thing in the game I couldn't figure out without google.
Of course there could be true "secrets" that I simply don't know about, such as easter eggs etc, but afaik know there aren't any known secrets in the game.
The only reason I played on ultra hard ng+ was to get those items, took me about a day and a half to finish it

With the frozen wilds dlc, all those weapons are underpowered. (shield weaver is still OP)
Agreed, until you play it on the hardest difficulty, then you're better off using armor specific to the situation.

@@S..J..G against the three ice bears at the same time and the fire bears fights you're better off just using ice and fire resistant armor. That's just basic logic. Sheild weaver has to recharge after one hit from pretty much anything and everything on the hardest difficulty, which isn't much of a problem until you get to the bears. Besides I enjoy changing outfits once in awhile.

@@S..J..G I feel that, I actually used to do the same but I started to want to get in their face more to up the stakes. I almost completely stopped using the blast sling altogether because it made the game to easy. I started doing that after my friend asked me to get her past a difficult part only to find out it was only difficult for her because she had almost all base gear trying to fight something out of her league. It took me three tries and I had to use traps and everything in her inventory, gave me a total new outlook on how to play it, felt way more rewarding and honestly realistic, in my opinion.

@@kealanadmire4075 I agree and getting Rabit Skin was a pain in the ass for me - I shot 16 bunnies before finally the game gave me the Rabbit Skin as opposed to Rich or Bony Meat.
got the wilds weapons never even bothered with the lodge.
I found the wilds weapons to be top of the tier in my opinion.

I just got the game for the first time on PC.... I just finished the Grave hoard, and I already knew about all them except for the lance(but I figured I would get a new one because of all the spear upgrades I have), like seriously, I have all but one of the powercells for the shield weaver armour(random exprolation for the win) soooooo yeah.... I knew about these items, and I literally just got the game to hunt robot dinos(it was about all I known about the game before buying)
by the way...it is not tears (teer)as in something I cry out my eyes. It is tear (tare) as in I tore something apart...it is torn because it got a tear from my tearblaster.

Not even that is secret. The game literally puts a quest in your quest log near the start of the game to get the armor. You have to be illiterate for the shield weaver to be a "secret"

The best part of the Banuk weapons are their charged shot ability. Can take out most medium enemies with one shot and fill dot gauges with one triple arrow shot.

I’m new and found way to lure thunder jaw’s into explosive traps easy for beginners
so i just got lodge stuff, tought it was good (it wasnt) and i also got the trophy
I have the complete edition. I like to get to lv7 and then run to the Frozen Wilds, risk it and collect the thingies you need for the best weapons, use them there, lv up. basically, a level per machine. Get to at least lv 35 and then go back to main story. Btw no using flying mount glitch because I think it got patched when playing on a PS5. I tried to get the shield armor sooner but I guess that got patched too.
"Teer" blaster? Really guy? It's a sonic gun, that TEARS parts off machines. TEAR blaster. Also, how are you gonna try to claim most of these are "secret/hidden?" Maybe the golden travel pack is "hidden" to someone who never scrolls to the bottom of the list at merchants. XD

It took me 4 hours to figure it out it's not that easy how it's shown in the tutorial I was at level 46 and I had to go back some of the main mission and watched another 3 guide tutorial how to jump back and take the power cells !
I obtained the shield Armor before I got to level 12. Using some glitches, because some areas are not accessible yet
I have several play throughs and have never bothered with the golden fast travel kit. I've never ran out or had to create my own.

for every big machine i search for a spot to hide, a big rock they can not break or move around. then dodge all projectiles. for thunderjaw i first take out the big guns then kill it with everything i have. i just beat the crap out of stormbirds and do not alow them to land. and for rockbrakers i just hope it can't catch me on a random cliff i find.

I finished the quest for the last power cell and then spent over an hour trying to find it from Sylens’ shop. Even with videos, it was impossible. I know Aloy says a bunch about how unstable the place is, I’m worried some tower or platform fell due to an action of the game map triggered by progress, meaning I’d have to go to a save from before I finished that quest(6+ hours).
It’s bad enough there’s no fireplace/fast travel mark for the place

@@BeeLZBeeb There is fast travel. Other than that, it's just really, really, REALLY fucking difficult if you don't have good armor and weapons. Especially on the dozen wilds dlc
Not entirely true. Im playing on ultra hard and while I have the shield weaver armor, I don't use it. I use purely the stealth armor with good mods. I don't use the tear blaster or or any other weapons outside of bows and the staff. And I hardly use the the staff. OCCASIONALLY, I will use the flame thrower but not very often. I prefer tear blast arrows, personally. If you save the DLC for last, then lodge weapons are good. Buuut, I went to the frozen wilds pretty early as soon as the quest became available but only so I could get the three mod slot weapons as well as the three mod slot silent hunter armor. By the time I walked out of the Frozen Wilds, I was nearly if not max level. XD Perks of walking everywhere ... more fighting!! If you want to save time and not walk everywhere like I do, the golden travel pack is very very handed and will save on shards/resources undoubtedly.
The golden travel pack is the only one I'd really say is a must if you don't spend time walking everywhere. And maybe the lodge weapons if you haven't went through the frozen wilds.

Yes, you can. A mission later in the game will allow you to go back
you can get back in anytime you want by taking a secret path up the mountain using a mount glitch
Can’t get the outfit because Mother’s heart won’t let me back in the gates
You will be able to get back in during one of the later main story quests.
Basically play the game and you'll most likely see all of these in the menus or quests

Question I just started playing it does each merchant have certain weapons or they are unlock by level wise
Once you get a little ways into the game, just about every merchant has the same selection of weapons and armor. Theyre not level based. It just comes down to if you have the shards/resources to trade for said items.
Games almost over when you get the weaver Armor .
By then Im so good at dodging I can kill anything naked.

@@BirdDinosaur because sometimes games have hidden things and i like to make sure i have it all.....the one thing I love about Horizon zero dawn is the fact that you can play the game and explore for the map for week's and you don't even have to do quests unless you really want to. After she gets pass that gate where she says Shes heading to Meridian the map is pretty much yours to explore. The max level on this game is lv 60 I'm already to the 2nd lv 60 since the bar goes from blue to yellow and I've made it to around lv 68....I can't wait for the 2nd Horizon zero dawn its gonna be fun
This video is great at 1.25x speed, however I think 1.12-120 would be frickin phenomenal.
These aren't secret. The awesome ass mods you can only get in the dlc area are the only somewhat secret items I was expecting to see in this video

I played the game about years ago.. I did the same like you but there are tons of tutorial showing how you can get back to the Mother's Watch just search for it on TH-cam.

This game is fun but sometime it hard to solve some problem like climbing mountain and finding item . It very hard sometime it took 1 hour to find item . And the puzzle Password , bullshit it took me hour to solve it

@Main_ Monkey You wouldn’t be able to get one of them as a child because you would have to have the spear to break down the barrier, I don’t know about the other one though.

@@dannyramirez3875 haha same.. it took me around 100 hours to complete game, i was lv56 when i first arrived to meridian.. i did all sidequest and dlc i could find before getting there, including getting all hunting grounds best times and all collectibles.. i usually play all video games in hardest difficulty, so i changed it in the setting before starting game, but sadly i my controller is failing and give double click on ''a'' button when i created new game and didnt realize i was playing on normal until it was too late.. i rarely play new game plus, and this game was no exception..

After DLC, hunter lodge weapon is unworthy.
they do have a much faster draw speed though. I personally ust the hunters ropecaster and the war bow with the elemental dmg (i.e. frost, shock and corruption). The Frozen Wilds weapos do much more dmg, bit dmg is a non factor when I want to tie something down or put an elemental effect on it. So the Hunters Lodge weapons actually are pretty good throughout imo

It is a main quest I believe so you won’t miss it but the item can be easily over looked so make sure you scan the areas well :)
