A correction: Hajj is not a requirement for everyone but only for those who are able to . Here a small clarification: The annual pilgrimage (Hajj) to Makkah is an *obligation* once in a lifetime for those who are physically and financially able to perform it. It’s no doubt one of the pillars of Islam and Muslims should not miss the opportunity if they can. About two million people go to Makkah each year from every corner of the globe. Although Makkah is always filled with visitors, the annual Hajj is performed in the twelfth month of the Islamic calendar. Male pilgrims wear special simple clothes which strip away distinctions of class and culture so that all stand equal before God.

What Malcolm X SAID ABOUT THE HAJJ. Never have I witnessed such sincere hospitality and overwhelming spirit of true brotherhood as is practiced by people of all colors and races here in this Ancient Holy Land, the home of Abraham, Muhammad and all the other Prophets of the Holy Scriptures. For the past week, I have been utterly speechless and spellbound by the graciousness I see displayed all around me by people of all colors. I have been blessed to visit the Holy City of Mecca. I have made my seven circuits around the Ka'ba, led by a young Mutawaf named Muhammad. I drank water from the well of the Zam Zam. I ran seven times back and forth between the hills of Mt. Al-Safa and Al-Marwah. I have prayed in the ancient city of Mina, and I have prayed on Mt. Arafat. There were tens of thousands of pilgrims, from all over the world. They were of all colors, from blue-eyed blonds to black-skinned Africans. But we were all participating in the same ritual, displaying a spirit of unity and brotherhood that my experiences in America had led me to believe never could exist between the white and non-white. America needs to understand Islam, because this is the one religion that erases from its society the race problem. Throughout my travels in the Muslim world, I have met, talked to, and even eaten with people who in America would have been considered 'white'--but the 'white' attitude was removed from their minds by the religion of Islam. I have never before seen sincere and true brotherhood practiced by all colors together, irrespective of their color. You may be shocked by these words coming from me. But on this pilgrimage, what I have seen, and experienced, has forced me to re-arrange much of my thought-patterns previously held, and to toss aside some of my previous conclusions. This was not too difficult for me. Despite my firm convictions, I have always been a man who tries to face facts, and to accept the reality of life as new experience and new knowledge unfolds it. I have always kept an open mind, which is necessary to the flexibility that must go hand in hand with every form of intelligent search for truth. During the past eleven days here in the Muslim world, I have eaten from the same plate, drunk from the same glass, and slept in the same bed (or on the same rug)--while praying to the same God--with fellow Muslims, whose eyes were the bluest of blue, whose hair was the blondest of blond, and whose skin was the whitest of white. And in the words and in the actions in the deeds of the 'white' Muslims, I felt the same sincerity that I felt among the black African Muslims of Nigeria, Sudan, and Ghana. We were truly all the same (brothers)--because their belief in one God had removed the white from their minds, the white from their behavior, and the white from their attitude.

Ezio Auditore Da Firenze Mecca is referred to by its ancient name Bacca in both the Muslim scripture (Quran 3: v96) and in the Bible (Psalm 84: v5-6), Quran 3:v96 says, “The first house of worship appointed for men was that at Bakka; full of blessing and of guidance for all mankind. While the Bible, Psalm 84: 4-6 says, “O LORD Almighty, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, whose heart is set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a spring…” The sacred ‘spring’ of the well of Zamzam in Bacca/Mecca is well known... “In it are clear signs such as the standing place of Abraham. And whoever enters it shall be safe. And due to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House - for whoever is able to find thereto a way. But whoever disbelieves - then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds.” (Quran 3: v97)

@Jack John The Prophet Muhammad ordered Muslims to take from Arab Christians taxes much less than us and give them a space , arab Christians fight with Muslims in palestine against Israelis for Jerusalem"was the first Qibla (direction of prayer) for Muslims and the prophet Muhammad designated the Al-Aqsa for pilgrimage" we are a brothers we respect each other we care we celebrate together only in the West are racists .. well lets take note 👌 and just to yourself try to make your information more logical because no one would follow someone who does such things especially if their numbers reach 1.5 billion

Years ago I went to Mecca for umrah, and I still remember the feeling that consumed my heart when I was there. And every time I remember, I tear up and sometimes do cry. I miss it so much, the peacefulness, the way your heart just simply soothes once you place foot near the ka’ba. I would love to have the invitation to hajj, to be able to cleanse my sins and to be able to be there and feel the peacefulness shower my heart once more. If I’d be greedy with the wishes I want fulfilled, I want to go to hajj more than once in my life, I want to blessed with that.
Simply going to hajj doesn't simply wash away a person's sins, as this guy implies. Nope. Even if one is too sincere for one's hajj pigrimage and one's sins is forgiven, then there are some major sins that can only be forgiven (if at all) on the Day of Judgement. Not on/in the hajj.

He mentioned "religious Las Vegas" at 2:41". Unfortunately that's how I felt due to unexpected behavior of some pilgrims when I was there in 2017. These people popped in and out from their five star hotel rooms to catch timely prayers but spent most of the time for shopping, specially gold and jewelry, and eating in fast food shops & restaurants. Hilton's, MacDonald, and big shopping malls around the grand mosque are gradually turning Mecca into more like Las Vegas. May God preserve the souls of pilgrims from all these distractions.
In hajj people from all over the world of all classes, backgrounds, races, ethnicities come together and perform hajj. Everyone is equal there and the spirituality is really heartwarming and changes a person to a better human being. Inshallah one day I wanna go to hajj with my family and then with my future wife.

i disagreed when he said that you will go to Hajj when you have done all the sin that u want to sin.. It will go back to the first things that he said..Hajj only happen when God invites you to his House. Whether you are the most sinister Muslim on earth..or the holiest Man on earth. God will pick u. U can have a million of dollars in your account, but if you are NOT healthy, then no Hajj will happen for you in that year..come next year, you are not guaranteed to be living for another year... maybe you will die before the next hajj...so it is God's will. We can only prepare ourselves for that call.
I went to Makka twice in my whole life. Once for “Omrah” with my grandfather when I was a teenager.. sadly my sister and I couldn’t pray at the time (that’s just our luck) I remember feeling sad and disappointed and a little embarrassed for traveling all the way to Makka to stay at some hotel xD despite all that it was so much fun playing around in the hallways with my sister. Ah the memories ^^ The second time was THE BEST DAYS OF MY WHOLE LIFE I was still in college when my father surprised me and asked if I’m welling to go for Hajj with my mother and my older brother and sister.. my younger siblings couldn’t go because we didn’t have enough money. I was so lucky this time ( being the second older sister ^.^”) I was excited and happy but nervous and overwhelmed.. and my teachers were amazing for excusing my absence from few classes. The Hajj was an AMAZING EXPERIENCE the best in my life really and I don’t know how I can thank my father for this opportunity. I’m so grateful.
I wish all the Muslims in the world can visit Makka and experience the serenity of the place. Just a warning: ⚠️ You will feel attached to the place and you’ll always be longing to go back ㅠㅠ
In my country, Malaysia, we have our own hajj pilgrims fund board called Lembaga Tabung Haji We even received subsidy (pay half of hajj cost) for the first timer!
I live in Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 I’m 25 I go to Umrah once a year in Ramadan but I’ve never went to Hajj I wish I would but I don’t know what’s stopping me I have a fear of regretting that I had the chance but didn’t go So you’re mom is actually right It is an invitation from Allah (God) 💔
You should pray to Allah and ask Him to make it easy for you to perform Hajj. Dont lose this precious time. You might not get a chance to perform later in life

Yeah. It's not that you must sin first then you go there, but it is technically true that if your hajj is accepted by Allah, then your sins are forgiven and you become a better Muslim.
@@wanahmadkamal5389 keep in mind though that is easier said than done
I've been there during Ramadan with my whole family when I was 14 and I never witnessed such amazing place like in Makkah and Madinah. Pray so we all muslims can peform umrah and hajj at least once before we die💛
I don’t know why some people trying so hard to talk badly about islam which they consider it religion with bad reputation because if islam has bad reputation then you don’t need to prove it and the more you try harder the more you prove that the Islam has something good in it and you trying so hard to hide it or misrepresenting facts that’s the common sense it’s just like someone trying make advertisement about products that doesn’t sell very well and we humans have only one life and we’re like students in the exam and every one of us has answer paper and it will be taken away from us when the time is over instead of wasting time and mocking Islam why don’t you search about it honestly because we have one life and we should use it with superlative wisdom

Islam is the only absolute truth that truly connects us humans to the uncaused non-contingent Creator of the universe. And guidance is only for those who truly seek guidance.

Ezio Auditore Da Firenze thanks brother.
But whoever disbelieves - then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds.” (Quran 3: v97)
you want to know the truth? don't let other ppl show it to you or read it from the internet you should go to a mosque talk to muslims and be a friend to them and spend time as much as you want so you can see the real islam inside of them too easy too simple ... plus i wish i can say those comments are true but naaah they ain't! and honestly everyone has his own way of searching instead of collecting videos, copying and pasting from the Internet to as like you showing him the TRUTH lol really that was childish and cliche! ! and for y'all record in 2011 Islam has 1.5 billion adherents, making up over 22% of the world population and keep goes up year after year even when all the media trying so hard to ruin reputation
Imran Nurul Islam thanks for the info :)
My father passed away just before my hajj pilgrimage last year. It was indeed a tough and emotional journey for me.
It’s beautiful seeing all the different races and ethnicities come to Makkah. People literally come from all over the world to perform whether it be America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, Japan etc. they’re all there for one reason and nobody discriminates against them. It’s peaceful and relaxing.

If there are any Muslims watching this:
The word MOSQUE is a derogatory term it’s not even Arabic. It’s a term that people labeled us because they said we congregate like ‘mosquitoes’.
Use MASJID!

We used to live in Riyadh when I was 7 yrs old, I remember we were going to Al Madinah Al Munawwarah, it literally translates to "the illuminated city", and when I saw it through the window I asked my brother if it was called Al Madinah Al Munawwarah because it is full of lights lol

Some things are not just funny and some things are offensive to some on a differnt level . This is disrespectful
Why?

I am just gonna work my hardest to earn enough money to go to Makkah, just to make a dua for my family...
Only the lucky one's get this invitation, I wish I will get that invitation soon.INSHA ALLAH

@Affy Quran says: nd for u is ur religion nd for me is mine
i disagreed when he said that you will go to Hajj when you have done all the sin that u want to sin..
May Allah grant us to perfom hajj in our life time.
Ah the memories ^^
The second time was THE BEST DAYS OF MY WHOLE LIFE I was still in college when my father surprised me and asked if I’m welling to go for Hajj with my mother and my older brother and sister.. my younger siblings couldn’t go because we didn’t have enough money.
Just a warning: ⚠️
You will feel attached to the place and you’ll always be longing to go back ㅠㅠ

It is an invitation from Allah (God) 💔
You should pray to Allah and ask Him to make it easy for you to perform Hajj. Dont lose this precious time. You might not get a chance to perform later in life
