Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death.
Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C.H. Spurgeon.

Lord, help me to preach the gospel for your glory in Jesus name
Can't wait to meet spurgeon in HEAVEN WITH OUR LORD THE CHRIST. JESUS
Spurgeon was a no nonsense man of God that we lack today in most American churches!
What l find incredible and hope giving is that Spurgeon suffered spells of black depression between the periods he gave these uplifting sermons.
He said he rejoiced in those times because he knew when they lifted, the Holy Spirit would always inspire him to share the Word.
Second time I'm listening to this sermon
This sermon inspires the listeners to bend their knees before the Lord, open their hearts and mouths to pray in earnestness, humility and spirit . May the BLESSED forever and ever.
Nothing is impossible with God

Please pray for me. For about 15 years I have been struggling with debilitating sickness that's made my life unberable. I am in my mid 30 and would love to still have strength to serve my Savior and Lord.
Jesus is my Healer. Thank you all 🙏🏻
Please also pray that God grants me strength to go through this valley with humility and thankfulness.
Please also pray that the fire of Holy Spirit would be with me.

I'm praying my husband's cancer doesn't come back even though the biopsy results came back 3 days ago indicating that is was highly probable. I've been wailing and crying out to my Lord. I am weary and I feel faint.
There was an eagle perched near our home for my husband to witness and be reminded we're in God's protection but also that He gives us His strength when we are weary. Isiah 41:10. Take and see God is good

I like how Spurgeon has so much content. When most sermons today have 15 mins. of content and then 45 min. of stories and jokes.

Be gracious to your Pastor pray for him to preach God's word rather than tell stories. Holy Spirit will speak to him. You will see a change. Always pray
So thoroughly and powerfully preached in the power of the Holy Spirit by whose anointing the sermon was prepared.
I wonder if Spurgeon ever considered how far his messages would reach. All these years later and they are probably even more relevant now than they were back then. It’s quite amazing. I will look for him in heaven to give my appreciation.

That's why I love to hear the classics, the Puritans, it's all the meat of the Word, no personal stories or jokes. It is the solid Spiritual food that helps you grow. Thank God for these holy, mighty men of God.
Same as with the classic hymns, rich in experience, depth, theology as compared to simple choruses sung over and over.
We need more preachers like him because it’s a lot people like my self that are hungry for the word of God 🙏🙏I am so thankful for finding this message when I didn’t know what to do and know I know I just need to have faith and ask Thank you Jesus 🙏

Oh how far have I fallen. My faith turned to pride and I thought I could learn of enemy and not rely on our fathers understanding. In doing that I began to believe the enemy and doubt stirred in my heart and I began to fall and great was my fall. Only God almighty can lift me up with His loving Arms. Keep faith, keep focus, pick up the cross daily and deny yourself daily because the enemy roams like a lion waiting for those unaware to devour them and turn them into Hell.

I love this message and this man has a wonderful voice for narration, I wish he did all of Surgeon’s messages. I would have to buy the series so I could hear the messages in this voice, I listen to other narrators, but this voice is soothing listening to Gods’ scriptures! I listen to this mans sermons every night while going to sleep, his representation of Gods’ Holy Word is precious to hear, he gives the stern yet loving side of our Father and Savior.🙏

I love how Spurgeon keeps the spotlight on Jesus and the Word and not on himself.
I will look for him too in heaven. Oh what a preacher this Man of God is 🙌
We pray not only bc the Holy Spirit prompts us and the Lord Jesus intercede for us, but God the Father himself loves us. Amen! His sermon correct us on the idea of the Father as though he is not willing to hear us but only bc of Christ. Instead he is most willing to hear us giving us the Lord Jesus and his spirit.
