In 1965, I took a ride in a "monster" Power Wagon to go to school in a forest and mud area in the interior of Brazil. I have good memories of this wonderful machine.💪🇧🇷🇺🇸❤
I like how the guy drops one orange and instead of ignoring it he puts it back in the box. And stacks it up with pride. Something you just dont see nowadays
Cause they got paid by the crate. My grandparents were pickers back in those years. School would let out during the picking season. Working from sun up to sun down none stop. Had to be quick to fill up the bucket and not bruise the produce. Only got 5 cents per bucket back then so you had to be make sure to get every one to get your pay.
I kind of fell into the Dodge trucks because I collect M series Military trucks, to date I have restored 2 M37 Dodges and last year found a 1950 Power Wagon Civilian (my first) the truck had 18K original miles. That one is in process of a full frame off resto it will be put back to perfect original condition aside of being converted to 12 volt from 6 volt. Its going to be a beautiful truck when completed!
Well after 75 years, my two 1944 3/4 ton Dodge WC51 and WC54 are still going, stil working . Built by people who understood that lives depended on thier work.
This comment is gold!! Exactly my friend, exactly! See, what most people of this new era forget and what has since unfortunately died, IS manufacturing of vehicles being genuine to their word/advertisements and made 101% without much B.S implicated in em. Pickups and semi’s were made for hard work and longevity throughout many moons, and most of these old rigs that were well taken care of may ride rough, but run almost better than the new era comfort shit. We (the U.S.A) sold out for all the foreign tech crap, cheap fiberglass and plastics, and forgot about the pride of hard-work and what trucks could be capable of doing + lasting the next 10+ years! We definitely have gone backwards throughout the generations. I feel after the 80s, trucks just became garbage, even look wise! Sure, I get how we need all the add-ons with cameras and sensors, and even luxury comfort these days with work trucks, cause the general public and all the people on the roads make traveling/towing more nerve racking, however... I’m good with no radio, bucket seats, no heater/A.C, and a loud rough engine with lots of torque to get the job done! Don’t need no fancy paint scheme either.
I always liked Chrysler corporation products, this film is super cool, what a gem it is ,they owned the factory built 4wd pickup market back then, just like they own the muscle market now no one touches the Dodge demon,or Cummins turbo diesel pickup, not then not now
Thank you for posting this. For years I have been looking for promotional films of the old PW. This is exactly what i was looking for! Thank you! Please post more videos if you have them!
you can't put a new fwd truck what those old dodges could do. first, the axles were huge, the axle shafts half again as big, the knuckle seals were different than the dana 60's of today, more waterproof, the tires were 9.00x16 and heavy plys. the transfer cases were all gears, no chains. put all those under a modern body and you might have the same capabilities. automatic transmissions not even thought of
America saved the free world, we have forgotten history, our emence prosperity after world war 2 has made us complacent and ignorant, It is Amazing how far we have declined in a such a short time.
Awesome video thanks for posting I own several of these power wagons and 7have have been in family since new I makes me sick seeing inbred resto mod crowd rip the original heart and soul out of These work horses and give them the girls touch automatic transmission LS bullshit Or Modern hemi crap i guess they drink woke bud light... 😅 only changes i have done On 2 is Hiway gears and better brakes 55mph cruising .. and we have many implements That came with trucks as option... love hearing this video with plowing that whine never Gets old .. 😊 i have 2 that are fire suppression for forestry service they retired in 1965 Grandad bought them 1966 and they still fight fires at our ranch and plow a fire break to this day .. again thanks for sharing this 😊
Its great to see them make it to the cows ans you can plow a nice spot for the cows to stand they should of made a decent lean 2 for the cows to go and have cover when they need even though cows are tough they are live anamals farmers forget i know i wouldent want to stand all winter in un roofed area at least give them a 3 side lean 2 building
Realy saprised we dident get more into power wagon truck unamog farming hear in usa its varry smart only need one machean to do all the jobs instead on meny farm tractors
Beautiful trucks more beautiful than new cars ugly made from blastic and losers I wish made new cars like old style infrontof iron bumper iron and higher mini mechanical parts in motor glass lights like this tractor in farm with little new style ❤
Love the old propaganda videos, especially in the beginning showing guys holding on for dear life and the two guys crossing the lake, standing up trying not to drown with one smoking a stogie. These trucks were built rugged, not like the rust buckets Chrysler made in the '60s on up.

Invaluable document of history of 4wd in US. Thank you.
That trio of Power Wagons and all those attachments starting @19:10 on that farm are incredible !!!
I HAD THE TRUCK, 68 MODEL, LAST OF THE LINE, DAMNEST TRUCK I EVER HAD
I always liked Chrysler corporation products, this film is super cool, what a gem it is ,they owned the factory built 4wd pickup market back then, just like they own the muscle market now no one touches the Dodge demon,or Cummins turbo diesel pickup, not then not now
What a classic-a time when work ethic, man & machine, and craftsmanship were unrivaled! (Now I see how my running boards got so beat up 😂)
Love this documentary thanks for sharing! Helps me envision my 1951 power wagon back in the day that I am restoring on my channel!!!
My dream truck is a power wagon even if it’s a old one I’m buy one before I die

Great, now I want to plough a field in a power wagon, THANKS DODGE!
what new trucks only dream of being half as good. regardless of brand

Outstanding upload!
They were pretty tough but when the m-715 came out... they weren't wanted as much. 5 quarter ton was on nearly every Ranch and farm.
Best truck ever!!
You had to be fit to ride in it as they rode ruffer than a logging truck!!!😮😢😂
luv my power wagon
America saved the free world, we have forgotten history, our emence prosperity after world war 2 has made us complacent and ignorant, It is Amazing how far we have declined in a such a short time.
True!
Amazing history of this I'll keep this close to me when are man fight in ww2 and some live and die what they did
Excelente veiculo.
LOVE the guy @5:50! whole truck under water and STILL workin' a butt in his mouth!!
Not enough can be said about that man's cavalier attitude towards the task at hand.
I want one.
Awesome video thanks for posting

These work horses and give them the girls touch automatic transmission LS bullshit

On 2 is Hiway gears and better brakes 55mph cruising .. and we have many implements
That came with trucks as option... love hearing this video with plowing that whine never
Gets old .. 😊 i have 2 that are fire suppression for forestry service they retired in 1965
Grandad bought them 1966 and they still fight fires at our ranch and plow a fire break to this day .. again thanks for sharing this 😊
They don't make trucks like that today they're made to fall apart
Its great to see them make it to the cows ans you can plow a nice spot for the cows to stand they should of made a decent lean 2 for the cows to go and have cover when they need even though cows are tough they are live anamals farmers forget i know i wouldent want to stand all winter in un roofed area at least give them a 3 side lean 2 building
i wonder how much did it consume gas with the plow.
Got me a new Ram 2500 with the Cummins motor not a true power wagon but an amazing vehicle.....a beast...
i have a ram 1500 --09 been driving since 15 yrs old 88 now this is best truck i ever had -- can count on 1 hand items had to fix
i don't think that today's hummer can match these old dodge trucks. make the same thing with a cummins engine.
Legacy power trucks does this.
Any modern day truck would break to try and do what these trucks could do.
when GM did make that movie?
Realy saprised we dident get more into power wagon truck unamog farming hear in usa its varry smart only need one machean to do all the jobs instead on meny farm tractors
That poor truck pushing down trees in begening of film
Нухуя не понятно, но мне понравилось :-)
Wouldn't want to do that much with horse
