I love how Dimitrescu basically became the mascot of this game, even though she actually has very little presence in the narative. Heisenberg is way more important to the story yet no one talks about him.
I think it was due to her appearing in the early access thing. making it seem she was the main antoganist.

In terms of rhymes I would call it a draw.
Nemesis has a snappier, more memorable name and it did take a lot longer to end him. I love having a strong (Tall!) and obviously intelligent female villain in Resident Evil, but she didn't worry us by lurking in the background the whole game, waiting for her moment to pop out and waste all our resources, Pyramid Head style. She just confidently sauntered and ducked below doorways.
We look forward to seeing Lady D, for the reason we like seeing Ada. The mystery, the elegance and the talent for putting fools down without much effort.

If Nemesis made it popular to have the flamethrower and rocket launcher, that's amazing. But I see intelligent enemies and bosses with them in almost every game I play so I'm kind of numb to how cool they are.

This was brilliant cause let's face it, it was 2 very different style of fight. Lady D got the condescension and pure dismissal with coldly delivered facts and Nem got the raging violent viciousness. Honestly loved both, something wonderfully wicked this way came

i don't think either can kill the other. nemesis needs to be hit 3 times by a weapon specifically designed to kill him, and lady D is only vulnerable to a specific knife, and then she can be killed normally. but you still need that knife first.
as for who would have the upper hand, well let's just say one is the final boss and constant pursuer of an elite police officer, and the other is the first real boss of a guy (whose profession we don't know) trying to get his daughter back, and only really had him caught when her 3 daughters surprised, outnumbered, and overpowered him. and even then she got cocky and stupidly let him escape.
Though keep in mind that Ethan Winters has a superhuman healing factor. A normal person would have a much harder time making it through Castle Dimitrescu alive.
