But after I got naked and ran around the Sequoia 31 times, while loudly rapping "My country tis of thee!" it started working. Now I get funny looks from my neighbour's wife. Your ever in Albuquerque hit me up! I owe you a beer! Sure enough switched out the LED bulbs that I had put in, to regular bulbs, and SUCCESS! My rear defroster works as well as the rear window. Although the rear wiper still does not work? Ill go through the fuses just in case. Also to note: I started the vehicle and it didn't appear to do anything. I turned off my head lights and turned the vehicle back on and that's when I was able to use the rear window button and the rear defroster button lit up when pushed. Again THANK YOU!
Now my defroster on my truck already works & my back window wiper does too but my window does not move up & down anymore & my trunk stop opening I’m assuming it’s the latch
That is funny, sounds like the bulb provides continuity to close the circuit when the switch is pressed. They must have tapped power after the bulbs. Albuquerque NM 2002 Sequoia 365000 miles. Still runs solid up the mountains.
It's not the bulbs, its the wiring going through the door. You opened and closed the back door and it helped the wires reconnect.

This worked for me too! I couldn’t believe it. This needs to be better documented. I’m sure there are a lot of owners with this issue.
I just bought my 2002 Sequoia four months ago and accidentally lowered the back window and it will not go back up help please
