Now if a man stays in a house with his family, he doesn't pay his kids school fee and doesn't feed them, later changes his house still don't provide food for his kids and don't pay his kids school fee will it make any difference. Will the problem be solved for him not being irresponsible? Yes or no?

The generation who sang that NA, are the same generation who destroyed Nigeria,
looted and murdered her own citizenry (Biafra genocide). You reckoned people were
consulted before the old/new NA was agreed upon before independence. So why are
Nigerians not consulted before it was brought back last week? In all, wordings
or slogans will never ever change anything, you rightly said the politicians are all about
themself, so why are we deceiving ourself with a NA. It is a distraction and a complete
    waste of time.

@mrld1839 Igbos destroy naija. The greed of Ironsi and Azikiwe made them plot a coup which Ifeajuna and his hired gangs of soldiers executed on 15th January 1966. Ironsi then overthrew the government and destroyed a fully restructured system we inherited from Britain and introduced Decree 34 unitary system that killed naija.

"Nigeria we hail thee" . That I know is not a national anthem. That is a rendition by a foreigner who is giving out his/her opinion about Nigeria . It lacks depth, it lacks empathy, it lacks direction. The first sentence lacks inclusion. It sounds like a distant stranger calling your name and hailing you while throwing words around just to make sense. The rhythm is just there . This anthem is , unsurprisingly loved by the elders who has put us into this mess in the country. We need to "Arise oh Compatriots!!.
I agree with Prof. Ozekhome on other issues discussed except the national anthem.

We all quarell with this government due to the hardship brought on us, but we must try to understand things before we jump into conclusion.
How many of the youths know that Nigerian headed the committee that produced the old nat'l anthem before 1960? We dont know many things but always jump into a conclusion with emotion and whatever the opposition party says are correct.
I was neutral during the reintroduction of the old national anthem because i was not armed with enough information.

Nice history, several flash points to hold on too but you are absolutely correct but unfortunately at the wrong time.
Secondly, you mentioned the youths are only prominent on the social media when you know fully well how your generation have made it so impossible for the youths to break into Nigeria political space of today. Similarly like that last question that was asked if your u were to be called to serve in the judiciary your response isn’t any different from what you are painting the youth . In 3-4 years, that’s enough for you to shake things up in the Judiciary.

If the judge doesn't have 3 wives and many children and doesn't live beyond his means he will get a small retirement home.
There is nowhere in the world that wages are enough. You live with common Sense.

Suggesting a political solution in El Ruffia case would mean covering corruption.

I think all these is to boster El Rufai’s political career and make him a major contender for the northern political leadership thereby paving the way for the presidency.

Prof is not making sense with regards to the old/new national anthem, is prof saying that he and other Nigerians does not half the sense or the brains to write a national anthem? Is prof saying that the national anthem " Arise O Compatriots" that we wrote ourselves was written by mumu people ? If that is the case, then it is useless for us to have so called proffesors. This prof should realize that we don't need the anthem written by a white woman. There is nothing wrong with " Arise O Compatriots" all this defense of the old/new anthem is absolute rubbish, prof's generation is a wasted generation just like Soyinka said.

Nigerian politics is all about sharing the national cake. Not how to develop the country.

Only antidote to corruption is godliness with contentment.
Resist the temptation to compete with your peers in life.
No matter how much you pay a greedy and insatiable man, he remains a kleptomanic.

The old national anthem was so good that it led to a series of coups and laid the foundation for the destruction of Nigeria that we face today. What a lovely anthem. 🤣🤣🤣
