    Bad time of year for the North Saskatchewan River. Every spring, it swells, and mud gets washed down. Any other time of year, it's crystal clear. The nightlife used to be incredible. You could stay out all night. Well lit and safe. People came flocking every summer. Alberta, as a whole, before covid was amazing. There was joy in the air. The scenery and nature are very close too. We have a very sprawling city. Lots of space. Everything is big, the Texas of the north, but with Canadian politeness. If you drive, there are wonders to behold.

    It`s a fake video. You missed the biggest attraction of the city - homelesses and adicts who are everywhere in the city. When I saw on youtube Edmonton for the first time - I thought what a nice place, when I came here for the first time - it`s better not to write my thoughts. Most of my friends think in the same way. It could be a nice town, but it`s not safe (sorry if you spend 100% of your time in home-car-work-car-shopping-car-home it is). Police and government don`t care, people pretend there is no problem... No one cares - yes it`s a modern tagline - do what you want and don`t care about rest.

    • @lvfreeAdventures
      @lvfreeAdventures  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you for watching. Hope you like something when you watched the video. The attraction that you are referring to - is right there in the center of the city if you watch careful

      @@lvfreeAdventures thanks for reply. First of all I enjoyed the work you've done making this video. Its well done. I've just tried to say that me and people I know feel deceived about such videos because the reality is very different. If you live in Edmonton you know what happened yesterday by West Edmonton Mall and how many people where taking to hospital. The thing is that I am trying to say that city is loosing its identity and beauty because of the reasons I mentioned before. Some of the streets in downtown even stink when you walk there, not to mention the lrt or bus stops. I saw people taking drugs on the streets, homeless or "natives" can do what they want while you can't even speak.... When I talked to old people everyone was telling me that it wasn't the same and they miss it so much.... The problem is that it's getting worse from year to year, and no one tries to solve it.

    • @lvfreeAdventures
      @lvfreeAdventures  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I have lived for long time in Canada, and travelled across country a lot... and I saw exactly same things that you are talking about everywhere. It is not only big cities - it is across Canada unfortunately. My heart is breaking to see all those changes to such a beautiful country. I don't want to focus on negative side in my videos - everyone already see it. I want to document the beautiful side of Canada... whatever left before it becomes completely unrecognizable for those who still remember good time

    • @canadian_shorts
      @canadian_shorts 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately it happened during Covid19 but from what I see Alberta's new premier, Danielle Smith, is addressing the issue by building a clinic for addicts. It will take some time to bring Canada back as it was before.

      @@slothfratelli5546 don't believe everything tell here, yes we do have problems but it's not just Edmonton where I leave, it's in Calgary and in many many cities across the country . This is also the province and federal government foult, I live here for 65years, and have seen government s come and go, but I have never seen a government finding the cities properly, always short cuts especially here in the capitol city of Alberta. After the pandemic things got much worse,and again the idiot premier made cuts just to make it worse again. So, having said that, some people having been as long as I have, ,#,,2 others complain even when things were better. Those kind of human beings will never be happy anywhere no matter what. Negativity is # 1 in their lives, believe it or not.
