It’s not a Bultaco, the manufacturer failed to honor the patent on the logo and the name (owned by Hughes Bultaco in New York) they later changed the name to Sherco. Be nice if you could get the facts straight
Obviously, they licensed the name from someone, I understand from the company that once the bikes proved themselves, they no longer felt the need to license the Bultaco name.
Two French riders bought out the bankrupt Co, 1998/1999 .The factory , plant , equipment etc N Barcelona.Started production based on there world championships winning experience.Sold the initial production in 99 as Bultaco , until its was pointed out by lawyers they didn’t actually own the name , the brand .No worries they mixed Bultaco Sherpa into Sherco .Kawasaki had registered Sherpa previously.So yes the first yr production were Bultaco, then morphed into Sherco .Same factory in Spain .@@bullpencycles
