@@avrilcadabra Yeah, quadrophonic they call it -- especially common in the more Buchla oriented systems. I intend to head in that direction myself as time ticks on ... .
This is the best thing I've ever heard out of a Neutron (I'm not usually a fan of them compared to the Mother 32), though it did take two in this case. ;-)
I dont have an m32 but have an 1982 moog around here somewhere. It is more difficult to get the neutron to sound as nice as a moog. I asked behringer to make a neutron with the oscillators and filter from their model D. One can only hope. The beauty of the m32 is the inbuilt sequencer. I know I can make impressive sounds with 1. But for anything musical it requires a sequencer. In Australia a m32 costs the same as 3 neutrons. So there's that also :p
@@avrilcadabra Is the price so different because of retaliatory tariffs on US goods? I wouldn't be surprised if Trump screwed up synths for people too. :-(
Local distributer for moog just makes them 30 or 40% more than they are in usa and europe. The previous behringer distributer was a bit like that also but not as bad. But since they set up international super distributers behringer prices here are the same as usa or Europe. If moog prices here were same as usa / europe I'd have a stack of m32's too
Thanks glenesis I have a break down of this video here th-cam.com/video/8nRNZ-4Zlxo/w-d-xo.html, I also have a specific video on making a blade runner patch on Neutron, should be able to just search Avrilcadabra blade runner
I love doing stuff similar to this with my neutrons as well, tho in my case I feed both sample and holds into into Maths and then into Intellijel's Scales, then have that signal multed out to the neutrons. I play with the delay on one of the neutrons to get a good offest, then some verb. I need to patch that up again soon, it's a lot of fun to play with.
I would probably enjoy eurorack a lot. But as of yet have resisted. I sometimes watch eurorack videos and see if I can get the neutrons to do it. Good inspiration
Do you know if it's possible to modulate the cutoff point of the high pass filter independently from the cutoff point of the low pass filter (to increase the width of the notch when the hi and low are summed together) or is there only a fixed relationship between the two? I think the answer is probably no since it's one filter doing two things at once but I thought I'd ask you since you seem to know the Neutron inside out.
You may have already seen this but if you look at the filter section in this video you *might* be able to figure out a way to do it. th-cam.com/video/4en6ioPAAGc/w-d-xo.html
If you're open to Eurorack, you can grab a few modules to be able to play two Neutrons in 4 voice polyphony, which is wonderful. My last few soundscapes have been generative examples of this approach. th-cam.com/play/PLCFsxkN-CM_0jgT7Eg0awEsGb2OOanOru.html
Hi I did do a break down of the patch and how to do the generative elements here, thanks for watching th-cam.com/video/8nRNZ-4Zlxo/w-d-xo.html
You're really squeezing a lot of goodness out of these little synths :)
They definitely punch above their weight, thank you
And thanks so much for the Coffees ♡♡♡
Great composition! Liked!
Thanks for the inspirational ideas. My second Neutron will be coming sometime in July.
Awesome. Two opens up so many possibilities
Audio Parasites FTW! Also Neutron into BlueSky ftw - ive had quite a few nights ive just let them sit there quietly oscillating filling the ambence.
Nice. It is great to set up a nice patch and just let them go
Definitely want a kind of "tutorial", like "just listening" and "having a written description of which parameters are altered"
Thanks I did do one here, going over how to recreate this th-cam.com/video/8nRNZ-4Zlxo/w-d-xo.html
Wonderful. I'm a bit obsessed with stereo sound sculpting myself.
Yeah stereo stuff makes things a lot more interesting to listen to. I've seen some eurorack that can move the sound around 4 speakers

awesome!!
thank you, such a good sound, it is
very realaxing
Love this. Had a crappy morning and this chilled me right out. So it looks like I need to buy a second Neutron... ;)
Hopefully your day turned out better, 2 is definitely fun to run in stereo :)
What a power, two synchonized neutron are!
Great camera work and sounds. Those alternative neutron face plates look the part too.
Thanks Robot Boogie, yes I think it looks stunning in white
Me! I want a tutorial. This is really good.
Probably will do. Next week. Thanks
@@avrilcadabra oh yes please!
@@avrilcadabra Always love me another tutorial. ^_^
Absolutely beautiful!
Thank you Expectaz ♡
Sounds like science fiction created new world.. Lol... Love it... Give Gary Numan it 😉
Amazing sounds, like usual! I hope to see that breakdown, Thanks for sharing this!
Great job, sounds fantastic! Best regards, Peter
Thank you Peter
Absolutely gorgeous! I would love to see a breakdown of this, cheers! Peace ✌️
Thanks and looking like I will make a breakdown video soon

Sounds great. I’d love to hear how you actually drive generative notes!
Thank you, I go over how it was all made here th-cam.com/video/8nRNZ-4Zlxo/w-d-xo.html
I think it's a great jam but the book of William Gibson a piece of the cyberpunk triology made you a true fan of the genre :)

@@avrilcadabra I did the same thing initially, but decided to leap in with both feet. It's expensive, but a lot of fun. :)

Definitely a lot of cool things you can do with 2. They are great in unison also. Or just big mess of patch cables

@@mikerinehart Thanks, I have already seen this but it doesn't answer the key question.
I can't think of a way as its all tied to same cv port / knob . Not with 1 neutron anyway. This is why I have 2 :)
So in polychain can you run each paraphonic and play 4 note chords?
Yes with the caveats that come with paraphonic. With fast attack and no release its win win though

This sounds so beautiful! Seems like a very lazy way to make music though 🤣
Let machines do the work!
