This style really is eclectic, but also complex. One cannot just throw a bunch of items together in a maximalist way and then say it's "eclectic". It definitely took some mad skill and design chops to pull off those rooms. Megan, thanks for explaining the Pierce and Ward style. I do like layered, but struggle with maximalist patterns. What I did like was combing some quirky pieces in with traditional elements. Somehow it just works even if there is a bit of "tension" in the design. I love any design that is Traditional in it's roots which is why I love all the design styles you have shown so far. What do you think about deconstructing and designing one or two Victorian / Steampunk rooms??
Yes, it's very layered, they are very skilled designers. Ooo, I hadn't thought of Steampunk. Light Academia is on my list, and there's a little Victorian in that style. Thanks for the ideas!
Wow! I loved this! I have been searching for a way to decorate my home that is truly timeless. Trends are such a trap! This video gave me so much information. Thank you so much! 🙏
Thank you for sharing this! You nailed it! Beautiful ideas! I have their book, and I just love all of their creations! I would love to incorporate the Pierce & Ward style to my home. I have a 90's home where all of the rooms sort of flow into each other, and struggle to emulate their vibe.
Thank you so much! It was fun getting to spend so much time with their designs. I’m sure you’ll figure out how to work some of their style into your home. 🙂
You forgot to mention the nudes! They love their nude art and it always fits the space (that unexpected you referred to ;-) GREAT VIDEO! I got so much inspiration. Something that stood out to me, believe it or not, was the beautiful weathered wood beams in the entry way of the pool table room. Great idea and such a bold statement (5:22).
Hi Laura, thanks for watching! Ideally, there would be an outlet in the floor under the couch so that the lamps are plugged in and the cords are mostly hidden. If that is not an option, you could run the cords under the rug to a wall outlet. Another option would be rechargeable light bulbs. I use them in the sconces in my bathroom because I don’t have an accessible electrical outlet on that side of the room. I hope this helps answer your question. 🙂
I love your design style thank you for the inspiration tips🥰
Awww, thank you so much! 🥰
Oh. My. Goodness! This is exactly the style I’m going for! Thanks for the informative video!
You’re welcome, thanks for watching! 🙂

Every design has so much going on that I was bound to miss something 😉 Thank you for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
This was great but, how are the lamps on the side tables plugged in?

Cool video! One thing I noticed is they use black in all of their rooms. The usually have at least one black lampshade in each room as well.
Oooo, good catch. Black definitely helps them create dramatic and moody spaces.
