As an observer on the outside looking in, I feel that the leather chairs are perfect. They anchor and balance the dark and light scheme of the whole room . They are so elegant and beautiful. They are statement pieces alone. But they perfectly blend with your new settee making the wood embellishments pop.

I like the leather chairs. Maybe add a light colored throw to each chair. Our living room is cold in the winter and we each have a throw to keep us warm.

The sconce between the windows would show up more if you spray painted it the color of your dog book ends and would look amazing. The bulletin board needs something around it or on it, just a little too plain for Jane Austin. Needs to have a "used" look. Just suggestions. Keep the recliners. Love this room!!! The rugs are perfect the couch the drapes the chairs decor everything.Iam so happy you have the spines of your books showing! I really truly dislike the trend of showing the pages of the book instead of the spine espeacially in old books. I love seeing the titles and font and colors it adds so much to the room . I don’t know how that trend ever got started but it absolutely does nothing to add to a room to see book shelves with books white pages instead of the history color and warmth so way to go they look absolutely beautiful and at home in that room. It’s at the southern coast next door to Portsmouth NH which is also stunning . I live in York surrounded by the ocean. We are an Hour 15 minutes to Boston an hour up the white mountains in NH and wait till you see kennebunk and kennebunkport plus our town here in Maine . You can cover three beautiful states in such a short time. You’ll also love Newburyport Massachusetts which is 30 minutes from here. Look these places up on line I think you’ll be much inspired. I think that the leather chairs ground the room and balance the feminine details. I also was a fan of the drapes with some pattern-it adds dimension and visual interest vs. the solid white ones. I mentioned that in a previous video-just my opinion. The new couch is pretty and love the coffee table make-over still!

I liked the green sofa but the blue one definitely elevated the room to a Pride and Prejudice level. What about an ornate wood frame around the bulletin board painted cream? Especially, if it just floats around it with some of thr blue wall still exposed between the frame and board?
