I'm a huge fan of my GT100. I play lots of styles and lots of licks. Having a board that can pretty much match anything out makes life easier. Honestly, if someone is using a vintage pedal or obscure sound its very hard to copy, but for gigs, portability, and ease of use nothing is better.
lafayette kelley Hi, After copying a preset patch to a user patch, can it be edited? For example - If I copy the natural clean patch to a user patch section can I add delay to it?
Yep. Once u copy it u can make the edit u want. Remember when ur switch to manuel mode whichever pedals u add once u switch out of manuel mode those active pedals are the new sound. For ex. If that clean patch is clean now, if u go n2 manuel mode and u depress the overdrive then u leave manual the overdrive sound will now be on your clean patch. Until u go back into manual and depress the overdrive again
I have used just about every amp modeling device & software since 2007(and recorded/released multiple original music CDs) and this is 'IT', in my opinion. In fact, I have sold all my other equipment... my signal chain is guitar>GT-100>powered speakers and that's it! I am so happy with my tone and the simplification of everything. There is literally nothing I cannot do with my GT-100.
In all seriousness, that pedal board is awesome. Im trying to decide what is the best route for me. I wont be playing any shows ever, just jammin in my basement, I wonder if that would suit my purposes or something like the BOSS ME-70 ...
tried a BOSS GT 100 on the clean channel of a SUPERSONIC 22 W, astonishing , incredible dynamic sound, think I'm gonna buy it,it's really incredible, organic ,and nice!!! alain
Yes the unit is totally assignable. You can put any sound where you want it.

The connection is important, the 4 cable method to amp has a lot in there, the way you have to place effects in the chain then,, the roll of S/R in the effect chain position, y wish so much people talk about this. What happen when you use 4 cable method and effect chains the s/r position, if we modify presets whhat we do with s/r first we have to acctivate it and then move it where? this info y like to see some where..
Hi! What do you think guys if using gt100 only with headphones is it going to sound any good? And what you think about connecting microlab loudspeakers to the phones output of gt100? Thanks
I think it suits a recording set up too although as a floor board I guess they are expecting it to be used as a live bit of kit too. I have to say the amp models are awesome. I would have liked to show more of what it could do but seriously mate even I was getting fed up with the sound of my voice at 10 mins! lol :o)
Somebody please help me, im having challenges with my gt 100. If i select say the 5th bank and switch off the delay then write, then use another bank/channel, when I come back to 5, sometimes the delay is back as if I never setup the settings before. What should I do? Thanks From Zimbabwe with love
Hi Just to say Thanks got my GT-100 the other day at a Demo in my local Store I was looking for an F/X unit for studio use and it fits the bill nicely .My main problem is reading the manuals on things so your Video helped me get some basic understanding of the unit and along with time should get a handle on it,Hopefully :)
As soon as I add an OD it turns to a fizzy mess. I am getting it a bit controlled by not using OD's at all but using the amp drive (Twin Sim) with the gain bumped a bit. Really struggling with it though. My ME 80 oddly has far less of a problem with this. Seems odd to me anyway. Right now I would have to rate it fairly low. My Zoom Gx3 sounds far better to me. Not to mention for basic sounds & effect the Fly Rig or T Rex Magnus. I will keep toying with it hoping I can get some good sounds. Actually I have some great clean sounds. It is the slightly over driven sounds I can't quite get. But I have only had it a couple of weeks.
@@Chinaguitarsceptic I finally got mine the other day. Wow what an excellent unit. This and my Katana just make me want to play until my fingers bleed!!!
is it normal that when choosing the plugging mode from the gt 100 to my fender super sonic combo is it normal that the sound is better by choosing amp stack in system whereas Boss advocates "combo amp " when possessing a combo??? Traduire
ALAN67107 Wow! I just posted this very thing on the VGuitars blog a few minutes ago. I use a small Blackstar SS ID core 40 & just found this out tonight. It actually helps decrease some of the fuzzy digital sounds on some of the presets. So it must be kind of normal.
The stock sounds on my unit were pretty much useless. You really need to dig in and make your own patches from scratch then it is an excellent sounding unit
+Totzkie Alquiza Go to the edit page and add the effect there using the arrow buttons to scroll through the options. Once you have added it you can change any settings and parameters too.
Chinaguitarsceptic hi.. i know ur a pro.. i just want to ask some help or tutorial.. i have boss gt-100 and fender 15g amp. I just want to ask for the clean setting. Because when i set the pre amp and put into clean twin or natural clean. The output was very bulky.. i want same like ur clean.. pls help..
I keep hearing buzzing sounds through my headphones when I'm not strumming the guitar. I have noiseless pickups so it's not my guitar. Does anyone know what the problem is?
Don't know if you solved that out yet, but I used to get this buzzing sound a lot, too. Turns out it was just the cable. Since I replaced it, the buzz went away. Maybe your problem comes from a different source, but hey, thought it might help.
Thanks for the demo but just goes to show, youtube is only so good... Tony Mckenzie gets some very nice warm crunch out of his GT 100... Maybe more to do with the amp but the drive/distortion sounds terrible o this demo.
Kiljoy Thanks. I am just becoming quainted with the good work Tony is doing since he subbed me and we had a few chats about the fake trade. He has some great gear and demos. I like him - he too is primarily honest, so we have the same aim in differing subject matters. :-)
You need to make your own patches from scratch to hear how good this unit really is. I almost sold mine until I programmed my own sounds then I kept it
i do wonder about a "reviewer" of guitar product that can't understand why a metronome is included !!!! .. Jesus man! , ever tried to get faster with scales , arppegios etc etc , to build muscle memory ?? A Metronome is critical for this ...
Rachel Oconnorjones Nope I write songs and play for music I'm no shreader as you can hear on my videos. Glad you have use for a metronome though. All the best to you :-)

yes I think it can replace all pedals

I loooooooooooove my GT-100! It's the BEST BOSS pedalboard ever, IMHO.
Is there a way to assign pedal 1 to clean, 2 to crunch, 3 to a tone I like,
and 4 to something else?
Yes the unit is totally assignable. You can put any sound where you want it.

great tutorial. i'm going to get one soon

Both would work. I enjoy hearing it through headphones 🎧

Is it possible to process the vocals coming in through the XLR input ?

Cool socks buddy. Great unit. Thanks for the video.

Hey,I know you posted 2years ago,but did you get rid of your gt100? I cannot get passed the fizzy mess stage on mine...thanks!
Nice video, thanks for taking the time to do this, I am looking forward to my 100 now even more!
My pleasure buddy 👍😎

Great review, you actually made me like this unit...and that's saying something.

Trying to find a decent pair of headphones for my GT100 - What's the model no. of the Sennheisers you're using here? - cheers!

Rachel Oconnorjones Thanks buddy. I'll send 'em to you if you send your address - washed of course! LOL :-)
You get this from China too?

Until I started learning to program it myself mine sounded pretty bad but now I really like it
Couldn't agree more mate! :o)
LOL - and the sofa is back just for you mate! ;o)
all the gain sounds kinda suck with the boss..even the overdrive ones with the amp sims really doesn't sound dynamic at all very digital...
You need to make your own patches from scratch to hear how good this unit really is. I almost sold mine until I programmed my own sounds then I kept it
sounds really not digital that much at all
IS THE SOUND GOOD THROUGH THE PNONES,,,???
ALAIN
ALAN67107 Yeah it sounds just like through the desk buddy. Nice way to monitor your recording. :-)
Chinaguitarsceptic THAT'S TO SAY,,,,???DON't UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU MEAN,,,???
ALAN67107 Yes it sounds the same through the headphones.
No worries buddy, sorry I didn't see it sooner. Hope you got my reply to your email instead?
Thank you mate! :o)
Ill bet that sofa has seen a fair bit of the ol slap and tickle ... wink wink nudge nudge say no more say no more
Ahem! I don't know what you mean ;o)
You're a decent looking' fella but I'd rather see just a bit less of you to make the graphics on the GT a bit easier to see ( hope you don't mind )
Ok, no problem, noted for future. 👌
Lol...Japan for these I think :-)
As clear as mud
Oh dear sorry. How could I have made it clearer for you?
LOL really? Well at least you got it now mate :o)
Those pink toed socks are the BOSS .. not the GT-100.
Nice socks.....!
