The oddities in the lyrics can be pretty much explained by the fact that it's sung in Engrish, by people who apparently don't have a very strong command of English.
kuraitama95 ZUN traded in his ability to draw in exchange for the "musical genius" perk, neglected to put points into his "artistic ability" skill and put all those points into his "musical composition" skill instead and _then_ he did something _truly_ ingenious: He composed all of his music in MIDI and synthesizer programs so there'd always be room for improvement whereupon he basically gave everyone the freedom to remix the already great music he had composed.
