This animation is within the realms of excellence. The best thing of all of this is that precisely today I have spent a substantial amount of hours doing a "propaganda poster"* about Project ITER, a project which aims to tame Nuclear Fusion to produce Energy for the Betterment of Mankind. Needless to say, I directly included Utsuho in my poster, and I feel I was inspired by her to enbody it as I have done. And then, several hours after finishing the poster, I find this video. This lightful experience. I see the connections between what I have just worked on and the video. This leads me to infer the author possesses at least moderate knowledge about Nuclear Fusion in general. Some references: 0:01 - The Sun itself is shown. Project ITER aims to reproduce the Thermonuclear reaction that happens in the core of the Sun to produce much more Energy that the one produced by Nuclear Fission, and also producing less radioactive waste. 0:02 - In this very quick and brief dance of lights and effects I can see waves, which is clearly related to Physics. If I am to correlate these forms with ITER, I would think of the Magnetic Field that is generated by the central solenoid and other powerful magnets that are needed to control the plasma within the void space of the reactor. 0:03 - There is a frame which appears very shortly, effectively showing the Nuclear Fusion reaction that ITER wants to achieve: Deuterium + Tritium --> 4^ He + 1^ n (14MeV) This clearly shows that whoever did this video knows what Nuclear Fusion is about and probably is also aware of ITER's existence and purpose. Deuterium is a Hydrogen isotope with an Mass Number of 2 (A=2). Tritium has 2 neutrons, so A=3. In nuclear reactions, just like in chemical reactions, the mass of the products should be the same as the mass of the reactants. Indeed, this is the case for our reaction: The sum of A in the reactants is 5, as is in the products. However, there is an Energy outburst associated with the process. This is explained by Einstein's formula: E = m*c^2. The Energy produced in the process is due to the fact that a fraction of the mass has been converted into Energy. Empirically, it is found that the net measured mass of the reactants is greater than that of the products. 0:23 - All those screens and what appears to be "lines of code" in the previous images is very possibly a reference to the future Fusion plants. It makes me think of superconductors, which in turn are related to computers and electricity, needed to control the Fusion reactor. 0:47 - The Deuterium and Tritium nuclei are close enough to fuse thanks to the Nuclear Force, instead of being repelled by the Electric Forces between the protons of the two nuclei. Fusion of Deuterium and Tritium, yielding a 4^ He nucleus, a neutron, and a considerable amount of Energy. 0:48-0:49 - This may be a representation of the sudden liberation of Energy, but it resembles more the Magnetic Field lines. 0:51 - A clear representation of the power of the previously mentioned released Energy. Didn't know about Project ITER! Was aware that a lot of the symbolism here is grounded in physical chemistry though for some reason I mistook Helium for Boron because there were four "balls" in the nucleus at around 0:50. I loved the breakdown. Is there anything about nuclear fusion/fission or ITER that underpins why the animation ends (starting at 1:52) on a long shot on the representation of the Sun and the magnetic field-esque field around it, or was that for the sake of creating a cliffhanger?

The neurofunk part's exceptional, it's been a long time since I last heard something that sounds LeaF-ish yet not LeaF-ish. Edit: Also for Optie, on my second glaze on the video, I realized that the animation is about Okuu's force taking over Japan (possibly via nuclear weapons), from people praising, TV screens displaying Yatagarasu, etc. Optie must have gone through a tremendous amount of research making these videos, assuming from those assembly codes and nuclear fusion reaction formulas. After a closer look, I started to notice that around 0:06 there are lines of AT&T Assembly code on-screen. Wonder where it was from.
It may be possible to collect symbols that occur here and search for them in symbol tables of various programs, but I don't know how would that be feasible. For example, I vaguely see some encoded version of std::vector, so it must be from a program that uses this type, directly or indirectly. (Maybe there's a database of those somewhere?) I'm starting to think maybe this is just a disassembly of a Touhou game, if they were written in C++, but I have none so I can't really check.
Im not the type of person who comments that however the people who comment stuff like that are a fairly small percentage of the GD Community, GD has about 1B players and from a small amount, like 1% of the players, say it. People who comment these type of thinga always say GD Players as in the entire community and not "Some GD Players" which would be more correct. Not everyone has played touhu thus not everyone knows its a remix. Sure its quite annoying to see those kind of comments but instead of saying it aggressively and calling the people idiots which is what ive seen in the replies of many comments, you can just say that its a remix, and they will understand. Whenever some kind of rythm game has music in it, some people who play that game will call it the original if they aren't already aware that its a remix. I am a GD player and i can confirm never in my life have i said that Yatagarasu or any other song like that is the original one.

This gives me the impression that in the event Okuu won the Subterranean Animism Conflict, she would've had complete control and built an empire over the entirety of Gensokyo, and after some time gaining a following of sorts (I'd imagine most being bird Youkai), with the the tv monitor flashing and clips started at 1:10 being "incoming enemy fast movers" in the form of whoever is on the other side of whatever war this is, probably a collection of Reimu, Marisa, Sanae, and others heading towards the heart of Okuu's capital stronghold, only for the final assault to be a trap Okuu set up to unleash the energy that she slowly harnessed over the years *of the entire fucking sun* to complete her end goal.
here's a simulation if Okuu won the event on Subterranean Animism the first thing she WILL do is, obviously. taking over Gensokyo, a lot of dead will happen, the fairies can't and wouldn't be able to respawn since the surface is basically hell (CIRNO NOOO), the village burn to ash, Former Hell, Youkai Mountain, Misty Lake, and the Scarlet Devil Mansion will burn to ash. Though, most residents are going to survive. The Barrier will break, and the radiation will spread all over Japan, and might even took the entire South Asia. But, even if Gensokyo and the whole Japan is devastated, she will not be able to take over the world. There are like 8 million gods in the Touhou world, most of them are as strong as Shinki and Hecatia, she and Shiki Eiki might also get involved since the former hell will break loose and a lot of vengeful spirit will ran across the surface freely, and hell will got another financial problems. and don't forget about the Lunar people, she's basically like a 9 year old saying "fuck you" to a bunch of adult. But a 9 year old with a gun.

Didn't know about Project ITER! Was aware that a lot of the symbolism here is grounded in physical chemistry though for some reason I mistook Helium for Boron because there were four "balls" in the nucleus at around 0:50. I loved the breakdown. Is there anything about nuclear fusion/fission or ITER that underpins why the animation ends (starting at 1:52) on a long shot on the representation of the Sun and the magnetic field-esque field around it, or was that for the sake of creating a cliffhanger?

The neurofunk part's exceptional, it's been a long time since I last heard something that sounds LeaF-ish yet not LeaF-ish.
Then a nice variation to the melody, added complexity, and then a transition, smooth as velvet.
And the final hardcore choir was such a nice touch. No words in my head dares to naively comprehend the ending.
A true masterpiece. It's been so long since you remixed ZUN's piece. Thank you for your dedication, and your talent, we could not have enjoying life as much without you.

Also for Optie, on my second glaze on the video, I realized that the animation is about Okuu's force taking over Japan (possibly via nuclear weapons), from people praising, TV screens displaying Yatagarasu, etc.
Optie must have gone through a tremendous amount of research making these videos, assuming from those assembly codes and nuclear fusion reaction formulas.
After a closer look, I started to notice that around 0:06 there are lines of AT&T Assembly code on-screen. Wonder where it was from.
Pretty sure the assembly is a disassembled C++ program, showing the C++ STL. Didn't dig deep but I don't see anything specific there.
It may be possible to collect symbols that occur here and search for them in symbol tables of various programs, but I don't know how would that be feasible. For example, I vaguely see some encoded version of std::vector, so it must be from a program that uses this type, directly or indirectly. (Maybe there's a database of those somewhere?)
I'm starting to think maybe this is just a disassembly of a Touhou game, if they were written in C++, but I have none so I can't really check.

Im not the type of person who comments that however the people who comment stuff like that are a fairly small percentage of the GD Community, GD has about 1B players and from a small amount, like 1% of the players, say it. People who comment these type of thinga always say GD Players as in the entire community and not "Some GD Players" which would be more correct. Not everyone has played touhu thus not everyone knows its a remix. Sure its quite annoying to see those kind of comments but instead of saying it aggressively and calling the people idiots which is what ive seen in the replies of many comments, you can just say that its a remix, and they will understand.
Whenever some kind of rythm game has music in it, some people who play that game will call it the original if they aren't already aware that its a remix.
I am a GD player and i can confirm never in my life have i said that Yatagarasu or any other song like that is the original one.

This gives me the impression that in the event Okuu won the Subterranean Animism Conflict, she would've had complete control and built an empire over the entirety of Gensokyo, and after some time gaining a following of sorts (I'd imagine most being bird Youkai), with the the tv monitor flashing and clips started at 1:10 being "incoming enemy fast movers" in the form of whoever is on the other side of whatever war this is, probably a collection of Reimu, Marisa, Sanae, and others heading towards the heart of Okuu's capital stronghold, only for the final assault to be a trap Okuu set up to unleash the energy that she slowly harnessed over the years *of the entire fucking sun* to complete her end goal.

here's a simulation if Okuu won the event on Subterranean Animism
the first thing she WILL do is, obviously. taking over Gensokyo, a lot of dead will happen, the fairies can't and wouldn't be able to respawn since the surface is basically hell (CIRNO NOOO), the village burn to ash, Former Hell, Youkai Mountain, Misty Lake, and the Scarlet Devil Mansion will burn to ash. Though, most residents are going to survive. The Barrier will break, and the radiation will spread all over Japan, and might even took the entire South Asia. But, even if Gensokyo and the whole Japan is devastated, she will not be able to take over the world. There are like 8 million gods in the Touhou world, most of them are as strong as Shinki and Hecatia, she and Shiki Eiki might also get involved since the former hell will break loose and a lot of vengeful spirit will ran across the surface freely, and hell will got another financial problems. and don't forget about the Lunar people, she's basically like a 9 year old saying "fuck you" to a bunch of adult. But a 9 year old with a gun.
