I have been commenting on Jerry's channel about his knee as I have also had a total knee replacement done about 4 weeks before Jerry did. Stay well Nick!
    Cheers Dave.

Thank you very much buddy, its more so satisfying when you see it in person. Have you still got those nice pieces of wood to be milled still ?

That’s a nice gig you got there Nick. I’m loved to have something like that. Definitely won’t be crab pots, I’m 5 hours from the ocean 😂. Thanks for sharing, have a good day

Good video Nick. Good to see you posting again, getting a little nervous about no videos. Thought you may have been down sick. Keep them coming when you get a chance.

Cutting that wood looks so satisfying how much do you charge per board ?

Thank you for commenting Anthony, that Ash i was milling on this time was furniture grade and was a really really nice product.
It was difficult to price for this one when i was asked but i came up with a price of 90p per board. I mill them, then i cut them to length for the customer.
      Thanks again buddy 👍

    Morning Nick!
Good to see you're at it. I also have an OS27, and a question for you, are you happy with your latest DRO or have you gone back to the original scale? Maybe i have missed it in your videos, but could you recommend a DRO that i could use if you're happy with it? Keep up the good work, i'll keep watching! Greetings from Sweden.

Hey buddy and thank you for commenting. Welcome to the OS27 club. I love my DRO, it has revolutionised the way i mill now. I can quickly get to the cut i want, i know exactly how much to give it and i get the sizes without the scale included, which i dont like at all.
      www.machine-dro.co.uk/digital-readouts-display-and-encoders/linear-encoders/linear-remote-display/m-sure-ms-278-600-remote-digital-linear-scale-600mm-24-inch
That is the one i have and has been great for me, i have had to only replace the batteries once so not all bad.
Get one installed on yours and youll never use the included scale again, trust me.

@@everydaywithmenick Thank you for the link! I'm going to order one today. I'm just about to take my mill out of hibernation, we had a loooong and unusually cold winter with lots of snow so not very much going on in the sawing department. I'm also going to build a power feed on it this year, was in contact with Jerry at Bigelow woodcraft last year and got some pointers from him regarding the drive motor for it. Thanks again, Nick!

@@Per-GunnarHagglund jerry is an awesome guy and i message him often. His power head and feed is awesome and works a treat for sure.
Have you thought about building a shelter over your mill or dont you mill in one place ?
If you need any info on how i mounted the DRO just say and ill do a video.

@@everydaywithmenick Hi again. I do have a shelter over my mill since it's stationary. I had two big aspen logs laying around, about 9feet long. I made 1" slabs of them both, and that was just enough for the walls of the shelter. I just screwed them on vertically on all three walls, and it actually looks decent. Slapped on a tin roof and called it good. The next project is an infeed table next to the mill, but the ground around the mill will have to dry up first.. to wet in the ground, the snow just disappeared here.. Have a great weekend!
