you jump straight into super detailed and very option specific shit without starting from the top and giving a general overview of how to get started with basic functions, loading maps, creating locations, and writing articles and content and linking it all together. this software doesn't seem to be very user friendly for new DMs trying to jump in and set up some new adventures and encounters

Nice video, keep them coming my friend. Speaking of extensions, I have found a very useful one that I think is more geared for the creation of modules and such. It is called TableImport, and it makes it possible to bulk import table data into a Fantasy Grounds Table. Which if you have ever created a large table in Fantasy Grounds, you probably know is a very tedious process.

Very late, but as a new GM, this was illuminating. Thank you!

I love the part explain how to export a module. Quick question, i have heard of some players, DM's exporting modules for like a group of pre-generated PC's etc., for a particular game use. Do you have a video on how to create an exported module that would strictly consist of a group of previously created characters for the party to use in a particular game setting. Still working on the uses of this function, besides an adventure creation, etc. thanks again and really enjoy the videos....watching them continuously to get the info I need.

@TXCBOY 36, That's not yet something I've done, but will make note on how to in the future.

Do you have to have the books in the program in order to make a campaign? I own all the hardback books but am wondering if that is enough or if the program makes you buy them again?

@Eyeslayer, you could use the SRD modules as a base layer, as it covers the bulk of the rules set, but wont include any of the optional rules that have been introduced with the various supplements. Any creatures that are also not included with the SRD modules will have to be manually added by you in order to populate your adventures with them, but that might not be a bad thing, as it gives you the freedom to create them the way you want them to be.
So while it is possible to do, it means there's more work for you to do, but it would allow for a very customizable campign.
