Excellent teaching! I had to find this out on my own recently. My teacher didn't tell us this information. I started dissecting my book when we started PCS coding a few months ago and discovered those appendices and they helped out tremendously with finding the correct code. You are absolutely correct Ms.Mary!

Hmm... I thought you had to go to your icd-10-cm book first to get the diagnosis code then go to the icd-10-pcs to get the procedure code
