I’m literally crying tears of joy right now. Current CPC who just started CIC training; once I hit the PCS portion I was COMPLETELY lost. Thank you thank you thank you for this video.
Thanks for doing these Kate. You explain things so wonderfully so I'm loving your videos. I'm looking to begin online courses for Medical Coding and trying to make sure that it's for me before I do...I'm convinced I'm gonna love it! When you started reading the op report I paused and got scared LOL. So glad you said not to be intimidated by the op report at the end of the video, and also glad that there is going to be so much interesting information to learn about while doing this!
I don't know why you don't have much subscribers u are giving very good quality stuff plz add some animation section too while explaining surgical procedures . Well done kate !!!😍😊👍
Brian Hurlbut thank you so much!!! I have some more in the works, stay tuned and let your classmates know as well! If you have any topics you'd like em to discuss please let me know!!
So in the 2021 PCS coding book what would you code for the 4th character 🤔 because O2HK (K) is not in the 4th column, what would you place in that column? Now I'm confused 😕
I didn't find the dogs that distracting but its probably because I work at an animal hospital lol. This video was very helpful and thorough. Thank you for making this.
Hello Kate... I am trying to tab my PCS book..... I am having trouble figuring out what to put on the tabs from OB through the rest of the book for quick references to find stuff. If you have any suggestions please let me know! Thank you!
Katie, which brand PCS book are you using? I’m curious about PCS coding and thinking of buying a book to teach myself. I’m a fan of the AMA, but also the AAPC.
If you have to stop the coding process to query a provider, do you just move onto a new report until the physician responds? Or is that one out of your hands after that?
Traci Crockett-Tully oh no!! I’m so sorry! I usually am not even aware of the dogs barking when I’m recording, I just get into the zone. I’ve been getting better at being more aware of the dogs but the only then I can recommend is wearing ear buds/headphones to avoid your dog getting excited about my dogs!
You’re great and you explain things so well, but the dogs barking in the background are very annoying. I’ve watched several of your videos and the dogs always bark a lot, if you could make videos dog barking free it’d would be amazing
This video is very informative, but the barking in the background is very annoying. Maybe when you do your videos the dogs can be put outside or something? It's too much.
OMG @ those dogs. It totally KILLS the video. I appreciate you being educational, however I suggest you re-record this video without the dogs. It's simply a bad video. You can't hear the dogs barking like CRAZY, but we can and it's simply too distracting. I look forward to seeing the version of this video *without* the barking. Thanks....
Marcia Richardson oh!! I have 3 dogs and they bark at anything and everything outside (they weren’t in their kennels), when I’m filming I am rarely aware of their barking, whoops!
I like your videos.. I am an auditory and visual learner and stuff you have said has make LOTS of good sense. Make more videos... thanks alot..!!!
You are the best ever. My school couldn’t support my learning style, so glad I found you!

Thanks for the video. Your lesson is easy to understand.

This seems like it would of a good video, but it's hard to concentrate with the dog barking.
Your teaching is amazing 😉- you need to create your own course and sell it. It is so helpful

One of your best videos yet. 👍🏻
Love the videos. Currently doing a coding program in MA. Keep them coming!

I need help with sequencing multiple PCS codes. Do you have a video with this information in it?
I really need help in understanding on an easier way of learning ICD-10-PCS

When looking in the index of the PCS book, do you always start by looking for the Operation type first then body part?
Start with the root operation

Kate can you pay your fee and get AAPC or do you have to take an exam first.
You have the same handwriting as my mom
OMG those dogs are so annoying!!!!! How can you learn with all that racket!!!
OMG the dog distractions!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really enjoy your 'teaching' style, but my dog kept running around barking in response to your dogs in the background :(

About that dog...
This video is very informative, but the barking in the background is very annoying. Maybe when you do your videos the dogs can be put outside or something? It's too much.
This might have been a good video, but I had to shut it off due to those dogs!! SUPER DISTRACTING

So many dogs barking in the background!
Too much distraction.

Marcia Richardson what distraction? She’s really good and I don’t find any distraction at all.
lol the dog. let the dog out the cage. I came to the comments to see if I was the only one. I'm only 3 min. in though.
