Everyone hated the RC missions...this is the mission I hated the most. Not only the hardest mission. Also makes NO sense. "You want to hire me to be your driver for a job? Fine. But first you have to prove you can drive better than I do." Then why am I even hiring you?!
We win this race to make Hilary agree to be our driver with all his skills when our Sentinel is slower than his Sabre Turbo, but he quickly dies at the robbery mission like a moron. Plus cool driver Hilary won't even drive us to the bank.
Never could understand what’s so difficult in that mission. On the stock car you always catch Hillary at the same place, right after the Lance’s home if you don’t crash too much, which is easy in VC.

But remember that bombed limousine mission, that was way more harder but still until 4-5th attempt - when we were teens in 2003. :D When I completed VC at age of 23 in 2013: only the RC missions were hard. The hydroplane mission wasn't hard, just challenging.
I found this mission easy too. It's just one of those missions that some players have difficulty with. Like the Big Smoke train mission in GTA San Andreas

This was easy race. Never had trouble with it. Try to win a race from original Mafia 1 from 2002 (Fair Play mission), or Mafia Definitive Edition on hard difficulty. This is really challenging.
Absolutely true. The pc version of the original game had an option to chose difficulty but I still never managed to beat anything higher than easiest difficulty. In comparison this Vice City race is a walk in the park.

He's being called the best driver in town and he agrees to drive us only if we win the race in which he is handicapped by having Sabre Turbo while we gotta deal with a knock off 7 series (Sentinel) with police on our tail. All of that for what? To have Tommy being a driver anyways and him dying the second he exits the car by the bank. lol
This mission is way easier if you remember that Hillary is actually a horrible driver and he will crash sooner or later. Just repeat this mission a few times and try to finish the race without crashing yourself and you will win in 10 attempts or less.
Just type "come fly with me" at the beginning of this mission. Hilary would also be affected by the cheat and it's all downhill from there. Pretty easy mission
I always thought about trying this, but also thought that the time spent switching the car would lose me the race. In the end I did it "standard", mostly it's down to remembering where the pre-programmed "surprise" cops are (the player in this video does!)
I spent 40 minutes completing this mission just to drive all by myself in the last mission and watching this guy die like a dumbahh...why tf did they even recruited this little &hit
After watching this... I Respect for myself and respect for other millions & millions fan of GTA fans. Who passed this mission with that old granny car.
Spending weeks to FINALLY edge out Hilary by a few seconds either the original car was exhilarating, then coming here to find out you can use another vehicle or a PIT move to spin him out… I want my several weeks back!
Developers assumed that people would play without cheats. Cheats ruin the whole gameplay since they make everything so damn easy and it makes the whole game boring
How did the Sabre turbo go so slow here. When I was playing it that car was Impossible to beat in a fair race I had to shoot it with a tank to beat it lol. It drove so slow in this video though

That & realize cops are gonna show up at random & key intersections, so being conservative at tight turns wins this race vs the need to keep gunning it to the finish.
Yeah... They didn't expect anyone to do it because it's a completely useless car change... You wasted more time on the swap than just driving with the car you had, which is almost as fast as the one you replaced it with...
I typed the ComeFlyWithMe cheat and kept a Bike with me like you kept a car😂 Then after winning the race, I'd save the game, quit the game and then restart the game😂
The amount of time you put in to find all the cars for Sunshine Autos could've been spent on trying the mission again and again. If that's a cheat you used then it's real bad. This is honestly one of the easiest missions in the game if you don't crash
@@wallaceling6140 just get a car outside of mission and practice as much as needed. Being able to drive good in one game usually helps with all other games where you can drive.
A much easier trick is to use the flying car cheat. The opponents car will fly around and hit random stuff he'll loose control. You can slowly drive without letting yourself fly off and easily win.

I used fly car cheat for this mission, the dude car later got stuck in a house and I just drove the car slowly to the finish line.
The trick I used was to block hilari's car and shoot the tyres..

Whats wild is. Bad Start, time to swap vehicles, not the best driving, and you can still get a 10 second finish above the other driver.

I just park the "Super Angel" over there and use that for this race

I used to just put the cheat for flying cars on and drive slow and the other driver was flying away somewhere.
