I finally got to listen to the two, side by side in person (at a Target 😂). Preferred the Bose. Fuller, richer sound to my ears. For $120, a great value.
My theory is that the Flex Gen 2 is a temporary refresh to tide people over until they can fully redesign it. They did that with the QC ears buds 2 before the following year it was redesigned into the QC Ultra earbuds. When the flex gets redesigned, it will probably take on a new form factor akin to a mini SL Max.
What if they're going to pull a QuietComfort (35, 35 II, 45, and the latest QC)? I guess only our grandchildren will get to witness a redesign from bose
@@gtaseed To add to my theory, Only the bigger Revolve+ is left The smaller one is no longer on Boses site and on store displays. I feel they kept the bigger one is because it slots size wise between the Flex and Max. Once there is a bigger speaker then the Flex or the Flex is redesigned into something bigger, the Revolve line will be completely gone.
i use charge 5 almost 2 years, and decided to sell it because some issue (its ND),then i try tribit xsound plus 2, and then sony ult field 1 for several months, i start to think, this 2 devices clarity is unmatched even with flip 6, i bought charge 5 again a week ago (TL) and im very happy with it
@@fritzrose8984 when it stand by for a long time it doesnt turn off automatically, and when i press the power button it wont turn off, it cant pair with any devices, all i can do is reset it. then its normal again. it happens several times in the last month before i sell it
I have charge 5 wifi and soundlink flex 2.. its hard to decide because they have a great sound to my ears but the most sounds for me for these two is the bose soundlink flex 2.
Both are good. JBL is alittle over punchy and over Bose. As bose provides flatter, but warmer sound. But. I like both of them. Would use JBL as for a house party/backyard speaker. Bose for on the go and personal speaker. Both are good, can't go wrong with them. Remember, everyone has different taste in music. As sound is like food for the ears. Some people like fish and steak, others don't.
You should not test Bose Flex 2nd gen keeping it standing. It changes the equaliser automatically for different orientations. Please test the Bose Flex 2nd gen lying on its back for its stock performance.
I’m listening to this on my Tribit XSound Mega. Probably the most unjustifiably slept on speaker in the last 3 years, sadly. The Mega can definitely compete with these 2

Flex 2 is overall better, it's smaller and lighter, the clarity is better, mids are cleaner.

I will never move from JBL products they are the best in my ears, it has everything that i need.
I have both. The JBL is louder and better suited for outdoors. The Bose does give off a better overall sound and better suited for indoors.

i think there is a tweeter embeded in the woofer of the bose because i have i charge 3 and the you can hear more tweet of the bose than the charge 3
