Thank you for your video on the Anker C1000. I am leaving on a USA road trip in 3 days and just unboxed mine. As a 78 year old grandma and pretty untechnical I was bumbed when the user guide gave me no user info except a QR code to scan for info. Could not get it to open, so went to UTube. Super happy this was a Lightening Deal on Amazon today! 57% OFF and we need it when wind & snow cause outages in the PNW! Can't wait to get it! Thanks for the info! Right now I have no regrets!
Excellent review. Very informative and helpful. My C1000 arrived yesterday with little information about how to use it. Your review is exactly what I needed. Thank you.
I just ordered this although I’m a little concerned as it’s non-returnable. I had gotten the Allpowers r1500 and it crapped out within 5 days. I know Anker is a big name so I’m hoping that it works.
I just bought three of these with the expansion batteries. The main unit is currently on sale for $899 with a 200w solar panel (I bought that deal). The expansion batteries are also on sale for about $550 each. I bought three of these so I could run my boiler and fridge which are in different locations in my house. I can charge the third unit to rotate with the two in use. In the dead of winter, I can put my food in a cooler and take it outside. I can piggy back all three of my units so I have heat. I could have bought the F3800 for the price, but the large transfer switch stopped me from wanting to do that. Not to mention, that unit would take a lot more panels to keep going. My units are also portable. I just wanted to get something with all of the hacking that is going on. I feel it is prudent to be safe rather than sorry.
Anker kills me with the price of that home panel transfer switch you mention. I considered the 3800 too but another 1K$ just for the switch is a deal breaker. I opted to just compromise and consider this 1000 instead.
already have it, got it through the BF deals. I'll be using it on my Class B van although my van has 11K of power (800ah lithium), i wanted to use this for those times I'm away from my van (power Starlink, Gazelle gazebo etc)
Great video! How long will the C1000 hold a charge? Had a power outage today, went to crank up my gas powered generator and couldn't get it going. Power was out for 6 1/2 hours. So if i had the C1000 fully charged would it hold that charge for 1 day? 1 week? 1 month? It's an important feature because we've had very gray skies for over a month.
What is the wattage of your refrigerator? I have an Anker 555 which I expected would run my 400 watt fridge for a day. It also only lasted about 13 hours.
13.5 hrs to run a frid6is great, considering you don't really need to keep the fridge powered the entire time. I'd probably plug it in every 4 hrs for a bit, and try not to open the freezer until house power comes back.
I have a anker solix f2000 and it runs anything thats in the 1-2400 watt range with a 3000 watt surgei think and i have the external battery with it and it is awesome it ran my fane for 2 days the fan is a small fan and the bettery was connected also you try it out youll be suprised at what this power house can handle it can run your rv, your gaming settup for 8 to 10 hours and can charge your laptop to 40 times (depending on the size and model) it in the range of a house backuo but not really it falls more into the category of outdoor camping and running some house apliances so overall i love it
A popular use of power stations in Europe is to charge it at night when rates are 50% lower and then use during the day to power everything except 240 appliances which are very few in Europe. This saves them 50% on their electricity each month and quickly pays for the power station. A refrigerator cycles every 4ish hours then requires electricity for 2 hours to keep everything cool.
I cannot believe I am just now discovering portable power stations. This would be a game changer for me as I just want to explore on my e-bike 24/7 and am always so bummed when there’s no power outlet in sight! I could just buy another battery but a station would give me the advantage more so than a spare. Glad I could find a review on this one in particular.
So would you buy this over the c180? I have the c180 in my cart atm. I just want it to run a xbox series s lol is that overkill? Just wanted something that could run my series s for at least 3 hours nothing else running just the series s
I've been trying to get into solar power with some power banks and saw this but needed more info because pictures alone didn't answer so many questions and you did a fantastic job answering about 95% of my questions. It was impressive how long it lasted with the fridge. I'm definitely considering this especially with the added app with total control. My only thing is I wonder how many of those extra batteries can you plug in.
@@footprintheroWould it work to have more than one add-on battery and alternate them to keep them charged / charge and store? This might be a no-brainer, but I am elderly and my late husband handled all things electrical. It’s not in my skillset!
I like this .. just saw the room set up. So this could just be connected to a solar panel and that it.... What the battery power ? Love this . Just wish I knew how much power I can get out of a day for tv and one light and 2 fan🤔
Any idea how long a full charge lasts? Ideally I’d charge it before an outage & use it whenever one happens; it would suck to try that & then to find that the charge faded over time.
Excellent video!! I just purchased this model and was wondering how many Renogy 100w panels can I safely use to recharge it and do they need to be wired in series, parallel, or a combination of both. Thanks for any information, because all of this is Greek to me.
if you look at the front of the power bank it tells you 10a max, which for 100w panels is probably 2 in series max and the rest you'd have to put in parallel.
Can you use it without the app? Also can you change the charging speed without the app? What if our phones don’t work in the apocalypse can we still use it?
I ordered one of these two week ago from the Anker store, I still don’t have it and I can find out when it’s going to be here. I’m leaving for Florida for the winter and I wanted to take it with me. Their website and customer service sucks.
Great video. I need it to run my AT&T 5G router only. It apparently is a 9 W router but when i ran it on APC 1000 W unit it ran only 4 hrs. And i was told that was normal for the battery back up. How long do you think it will run on this device . Please let me know soon as I need to order it asap before the next power outage hits us. I will use your link to complete the purchase. Thanks
