My dad was a climber for 35 years clearing mountain sides. Use to take me up to the sites as a kid and taught me everything he knew. He’s 65 years old now. Last year we went out and did one last climb together before he hung up the spurs for good. Massive respect for all the forestry guys out there

Can't believe how good electric tools are getting
Electric tools were originally made for use in space without any outlets nearby. It turned out to be very popular commercially to a point that every working man has to have a cordless drill now.

because its electric not gas.
Notice it isn't making any noise when he's not cutting.
It's electric, the motors sound very different and an electric one only makes noise when its actually working.

Precedes to accidentally cut through the one single rope between you and the all mighty.
I’d never be comfortable with just a single point of failure between life and death. For sure I’d have a backup a little lower down.
Nah. Dont worry. You can see its steel cable.
It's steel rope
@@johnfortune3432 Are you sure? It definitely looks like normal climbing static line. If it’s steel rope then I’d feel a lot more secure.
Its steel cable, wrapped with poly rope. Easier to handle & sticks better. If you nick it with your saw, the poly will save the cutting teeth.
Its not a 'single' point of failure. You have 3 points of contact most of the time.

There are many mountains around my village, but they are all covered with dense forest. So, to admire the beautiful views, my friends and I used to climb to the top of the pine trees. It is an unforgettable sight - a green ocean of linden and maple trees swaying beneath you, and mountains scattered around for kilometres.
One day we chose a pine tree to climb. It looked like a palm tree, because it had branches only on the top of its head, like a hat. And on the trunk there were only short protruding limbs, which we climbed up. It was very unpleasant to climb. There were no branches to lean on or grab onto in case of a fall. I persuaded my friends to turn back and I continued the climb myself. I was relieved to reach the dense crown at the top - I was able to relax by resting my head on the many branches.
The way back down was difficult - I had to look down, and it was scary to feel that you were standing on short limbs with no safety net and a chasm as high as a five-storey building behind you. I came down very tired and scared, but with some great photos. My friends were a bit resentful of me for not letting them climb with me, but I wouldn't have been able to bear it if any of them had fallen.

I’ve been watching guilty of treeson for a long time. Top tier channel for people who appreciate craftsmanship. The shorts crowd doesn’t seem to like the idea of cutting down trees. I don’t know if TH-cam will translate this for you like it translates your comment for me, but he isn’t actually cutting the tree down. He’s removing dead branches so as to allow the tree to grow more. He’s doing this to manage the canopy, and if he doesn’t do this those dead branches can fall uncontrolledly and disrupt habitats.
